Who wants a custom title/prize/thingy? WINNERS ANNOUNCED!

Well, I wasn't one of the lucky winners (congratulations Krieg, Ash, Torm, and Robbert Raets!) That just means I'll need to pinch a few pennies and pony up for my own account. Thanks again to Angcuru for being so generous in the first place. Man, I really need to start breaking out of...

    D&D 3E/3.5 Is there a Parry in 3.5?

Ok, really. This has been bothering me since I first saw it. The movie is titled Return of the Jedi. The concept of Jedi and revenge do not intertwine. That's why wer'e getting Revenge of the Sith next year. /hijack On the other hand, I think I need to check out that Swashbuckling issue of...

    Annoying Fantasy Trends

What kind of cliches do I hate? Let's see..... Uber-powerful person/object coming into play at the exact moment needed. (See Deus Ex Machina) The 'stubborn female' stereotype. - Particularly Nynaeve al'Meara (Robert Jordan writes the most aggravating female characters) Under-developed bad...

    D&D has threatened my job!

In addition to all the other pointers given so far on this board (I won't recommend any one over the other, it's ultimately your decision to choose your fate) I would recommend the news story found on this link* D&D News Story Be advised it's a huge 80+ MB zip file. But it contains an...

Who might be going to GenCon SoCal?

I'm going! So I attended SoCal last year. It was my first convention. It was small, but it was the brand new Gen Con baby so it has plenty of room to grow. The highlights of my trip included William Shatner's hilarious ramblings (he was very sick, but he never misses a commitment to a show)...

Don't cry , I think you have an idea of what you're talking about, I'd just like you to really give the series a chance. ;) Ah, but at least you are willing to try. :) Especially after we made such vehement arguments in support of the show, hehe. Trust me, I thought it was going to be...

Nip/Tuck---it is now one of my faves...

Well, they are only about 3 episodes into Season 2, so you should be able to pick up watching it any time you like. I was also a bit hesitant, and I didn't think I would like the show very much. I gave it a chance because I like the actor who plays Dr. Christian Troy (Julian McMahon, for those...

So far, the main characters are still in pursuit of that. More importantly for them, they are in pursuit of some kind of stability. As for the clients, each one is different. Some are there for cosmetic surgery to correct either a horrible accident or an error of nature (a gentlemen had a...

I believe the point that Fast Learner is trying to make is that you can't really judge the theme of a show (at least this one in particular) unless you have experienced more than 'a little bit' of it. And the 'average joe' is more likely watching Average Joe or Survivor than watching Nip/Tuck...

I've been thinking that I was the only one glued to this show..... I caught an early episode in Season 1, and haven't been able to stop watching. I don't quite know what it is that fascinates me so. It's like those people who stop to look at an accident scene, only the accident in this case...
