I just stepped into a giant pile of peanutty awesomeness here, didn't I?

    Acronyms

A bit embarrassed by this, but I use a PS3 system. It's great for playing Madden, not so great for the interwebs. Luckily for everyone, you'll never see a long-winded post from me ;) I'll just google search for acronyms.

    Acronyms

I'm sure this question has been asked a thousand times... Is there a list of acronyms somewhere? Pretty frustrating to follow an interesting topic only to have it become gibberish because I don't undrstand the acronyms.

What could a publisher sell you RIGHT NOW/

I doubt this would ever exist, but I'd like to see a comprehensive list of feats for E6. Specifically, for characters beyond 6th level. Included in that book would be a way for DMs/Players to design balanced feats of their own. I'd pay top dollar for that!

    Referee (DM/GM/Whatever) Training

I agree with these concepts wholeheartedly. A large obstacle for most DMs is being overly self aware when DMing. A good way to help him/her is to play along when a DM throws in some actual, honest-to-God roleplaying. I almost guarantee it will be stilted and forced at first, but you'll find...

    Sheet of d20 rolls

I'm looking for a way to print up full sheets of d20 rolls without actually having to roll the dice. Is there something out there that will help me this?

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 monk...lawful = disciplined?

What does losing this ability with an alignment change have to do with being disciplined? I'm honestly not able to see your point. Could you expand on it a little? In any case, I'm off to work. Have good one.

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 monk...lawful = disciplined?

Isn't the fact that rage is an "at will" ability make it matter of discipline? A barbarian can choose not to use this ability even in the most desperate of circumstances (probably to his/her detriment ).

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 monk...lawful = disciplined?

Has anybody ever attempted to cut out alignment from dnd? I imagine that I'd be better off playing a different rpg, but am definitely curious enough to read somebody's attempt. Revamping spell domains would a big pain in the arse. ETA eh, it was just an idle thought, don't let my comment...

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 monk...lawful = disciplined?

Granted, there are too many grey areas in real life circumstances for the alignment system to perfectly frame them. I just wanted to give a sense of what I meant by using a simple example. I think that these characteristics can be products of leading a disciplined lyfestyle, but do not define...

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 monk...lawful = disciplined?

This is an ongoing little argument within my gaming group; does being lawful directly translate to being disciplined? The monk alignment lawful limitation is the specific example of this idea. I take the stance that lawful does not directly translate to disciplined, although a lawfully aligned...

What are the basic building blocks of your games?

I developed a campaign using a method that can be loosely called "interaction" as you defined. Without going into too much detail, it was based in a small town on the edge of "wild" with plenty of area for the PCs to explore (and explored they did.) It lasted over 15 sessions and was good fun...

How do you read your players interest during a game session

IMO, over the course of several sessions this moment is the biggest indicator of interested/uninterested players. As a player or DM, I pay attention to everyone's body language during this time because their intereest, or lack thereof, is usually apparent. For example, I'm currently running a...

Running large-scale battles in off-line campaigns.

Yep, Heroes of Battle was written precisely for this type of campaign. Good idea, btw. I'm curious to hear how this type of campaign pans out as I may be using a HoB style of adventure. Please post your experience with it when the time comes.

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Expediting Combat?

My post was just a wise-a** response; she actually picked up on the dice thing pretty quickly though there are a couple of players who are still very unclear about game mechanics. Under different circumstances I'd consider leaving the group, but this is family so I have to be patient. I get...

Weem’s DM Tips for RP Prompting and Immersion

I like the foreground idea. So often as players, we like to take the Freudian approach by detailing a character's childhood. While this may affect a character's general outlook, it does little for directing a PrC's initial, immediate actions. Thanks!

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Expediting Combat?

wow. that just clarified everything for me. I'll be sure to tell my 12 yo niece that when she can't remember what die to roll.

    Your favorite in-game D&D organization

Here's one I'm developing for my homebrew which is low magic world. The populace is terrified by magic and this group help uses that fear for their own ends. The Red Cloaks Founded by a self proclaimed holy man of the noble class, the Red Cloaks make it their goal to eradicate magic and...
