    Poisons - Rules Clarification Sought

You understood it correctly. Make one save, suffer the primary damage if failed, make another save 10 rounds (one minute) later, suffer the secondary damage if failed. Done. Inbetween the two saves, a successful Heal check (or Neutralize Poison) can help with the secondary effects.

I don't understand deities' spontaneous casting

Take for example a Deity with 20 levels of Cleric. This deity may cast all cleric spells, all ranger spells and all her domain spells spontaneously - up to her daily limit of available cleric spell slots. If this deity had levels in Druid or Paladin, he could also cast spells from these spell...

[probly a repeat question] Uncanny Dodge + Multiclassing

Evasion (and other similar abilities) don't stack. Uncanny dodge is an exception. The stacking is mentioned in the descriptive text.

    Readying attack against spellcasters

Sometimes you *have* to ready a melee attack against a spellcaster. Consider the following scenario: Bob, the dumb fighter, stays 25 feet away from an enemy wizard, Jack. Bob won initiative and decides to (partial) charge. He hits, does some damage. Jack survives the attack and *cast...

    Question about an archmage power

You have to sacrifice a 5-th level slot *every time* you choose this ability. No chance to misinterpret this. If used correctly, this High Arcana is very powerful. Remember, a spell-like ability is not a spell, thus has no verbal or somatic components, can be used while held and cannot be...

    Question about an archmage power

Your interpretation of this particular Archmage ability is absolutely correct. However, you may have overseen some facts: 1. You don't have to take this special ability. 2. You can take some useful spells instead, for example Greater Dispelling. You'd get: 2/day a stilled, silenced Greater...

"Base cost", retail, wholesale or manufacture cost?

*Usually*, base price equals market price. If expensive base materials (weapons and armor), XP costs (Limited Wish, Wish...) and/or expensive material components (Stoneskin, Raise Dead...) are involved, the above is not true. Base price... ...for scrolls/wands: base price (gp) = spell level x...

Rakshasa spell immunity -- clarification needed

A rakshasa is not immune to: - Spells, which don't allow SR in the first place, like Dispel Magic - 9th-level spells or higher - Crossbow bolts with the "Holy" Enhancement or shoot by a crossbow with this enhancement - Crossbow bolts with (Greater) Magic Weapon (cast by a good cleric) or Bless...

    A little black triangle?

You should ask your DM, really. For this flavour-only item, I'd charge you 5-50 GP, depending on the campaign.

    0- lvl Magic Missile

Greater Mark of Earth (BoEM) has some important differencies: It lasts 1 hour/level, it grants the recipient a +2 enhancement bonus to Strength, and it gives DR 10/+1 for the whole duration. On top of that, Greater Mark of Earth doesn't has an expensive material component, like Stoneskin (250...

    critique Remove Stun spell please

I had problems with stun effects, too. I made stunned into a minor version of held. So everything what counters, dispels or removes the held condition, does this for stunned, too. Remove Paralysis, Dispel Magic, Freedom of Movement etc. work now against all stunning effects.

Quickened Summon Monster - free action?

According to the PHB, page 84, a Summon Monster (casting time is one full round) spell may be quickened*, and it becomes a free action to cast. Is this correct? What components does a quickened spell have/not have? Somatic? Verbal? Material? *) "... A spell whose casting time is more than 1...

    Outsider Type Class Skills

For all Monster Manual Monsters, each listed skill is a "class" skill for this particular monster. If this monster advances by hit dice, or if you want to distribute the skill points differently, you treat listed skills as class skill and others as cross-class. If you advance monsters by class...

    2nd-level Bard spells

In general, Enchantment spells (Sleep, Charm Person/Monster, Hold Person/Monster, Suggestion) are the bard's strong side. I would suggest taking many of them plus Spell Focus (Enchantment). If you are often in urban settings, take all of them. Divinations (Detect Thoughts...

Rings of spell storing and metamagicked spells

Incantatrix and Metamagic IMO, an "Incantatrix-Metamagicked" spell is for item creation purposes (and thus for a Ring of Spell Storing) still a standard metamagicked spell. For example, an Empowered Cat's Grace is always a 4th-level spell, if an Incantatrix creates a Wand of Empowered Cat's Grace.
