Quite nice. :) I believe that the green slime is listed as a hazard in the DMG, the larva is in the Creature Crypt and MotP (as a petitioner), the su-monster was in the Psionics Handbook web enhancement, and the ice toad is in Oriental Adventures.
Here's a few other creatures from 2E Greyhawk...
Rary the Traitor (WGR3)
Centaur, Desert (I think this may have appeared in the last Polyhedron?)
Manscorpion (converted as the stinger in MoF)
Monarch Scorpion
Monarch Scorpion, Master Scorpion
Vale of the Mage (WG12)
Grist (True Gargoyle)...
For my part, I'd say Maztica...
Out of curiosity, will you be using the (Spirit) subtype from Oriental Adventures if you convert the manggus, the shimnus, and Monkey?
Oh, wait... I just remembered: the steel dragon in Dragon #62 is a completely different creature from the one in the 2E Draconomicon. If I recall correctly, the steel dragon in that article (as well as the accompanying gray dragon) was supposed to be a unique monster. The Draco/MM steel dragon...
Hm. I could have sworn that the Greyhawk MC and the MM had the same flavor text for the two dragons... same breath weapon too, and an almost identical illustration.
Actually, the steel dragon has already been converted to 3.0, in Living Greyhawk Journal #1, as the 'Greyhawk dragon'. It was originally known as such, before its inclusion in the 2E Monstrous Manual, when it recieved a setting-generic name.
The mercury dragon is chaotic good, actually... I believe that it's not considered a true metallic dragon (like the steel dragon) because it only has one breath weapon. At least, that's the explanation I read somewhere.
The shadowdrake has already been converted as the 'Styx dragon' in Dragon #300 ('Hellish Fangs on Abyssal Wings') and reappeared in the Draconomicon. :)
Yeah... personally, if someone converted the 2E water weird (or its cousin from MCA1, the earth weird), I'd recommend giving them a different name to distinguish them from the ones in 3E MM2. Like, 'lesser elemental weirds' or something like that.
I've got that book. I can post the 2E stats in this thread for reference - as long as doing so doesn't violate copyright? I don't know too much about that stuff and figure I'd best ask before doing anything.
Thanks, Shade. :) Added the ghost elves to the list, as well as the elves of Faeriespace in the Spelljammer adventure 'Crystal Spheres'. There's also a unique race of drow from that system as well that's still evil but less aggressive, since Lolth isn't part of the equation. I'll add them later...
