I've been reading Alan Moore's Swamp Thing lately, and if you haven't already read it, I strongly recommend it. If you like Geoff Johns, you owe it to yourself to read his JSA and The Flash. Easily his best work.

But there's practically nothing to see at this point. Animation doesn't start until after the dialog is recorded, and they don't use cels anymore. Just give it some time and wait and see. If it still doesn't meet your expectations, then that's fine, but right now there's next to nothing on...

I dunno, perhaps a desire to have things resolved and wrapped up neatly. I've noticed that weak endings are suprisingly common in anime. Paranoia Agent as mentioned above... Fruits Basket's ending was nice but offered minimal resolution... and of course, everyone who's seen it has an opinion on...

You're severely underestimating the capacity of animation to convey a good story. If this guy's past work has been aimed at kids, well, that's as much the network's and production company's doing, if not more so, than the director's. And don't forget that many good directors come from humble roots.

That would be represented by roleplaying, not stats. That sounds needlessly complicated IMO. I think this is one of those times when common sense trumps the rules. A creature with legs as long as a human is going to have the same gait as a human. Btw, BOZ: In the "Hutaakans in Mystara"...

It doesn't make sense for a tall humanoid to move so slowly IMO. Unless they have short, stumpy legs like dwarves, they should be able to move at the same rate as humans and elves, regardless of what it says above.
