    Shield cantrip

Sorry dude, but that argument makes 0 sense. Not only are you pulling shield profficiencies out of thin air for some reason (something a lot of casters dont even have). I never even mentioned shield profficiencies, they are a whole different thing. Also the shield spell and shield profficiency...

    Shield cantrip

I would re-work it into something that affects a single enemies attack roll, instead of a +ac until next round. Being able to shield up when you are surrounded by enemies, even at a lower value, as a cantrip seems way to good to me. I would go with something along the lines of "Flash" -...

D&D 5E Chill touch vs Troll regeneration

Does it really matter? Arn't old-school members busy filling up another 20 pages about rope trick semantics anyway ;) ?

    Drow Adventure Resource Recommendations

I would suggest the (in chronological order) first book in the series Homeland, for sure. Some of the other books return to the city as well, but it's the first one that really paints a clear picture of drow society.

    Teleportation Circle destruction

I'd say it would take one Dispel Magic, or similiar effect, per sigil to render it destructable. And then I wouldn't be suprised if my DM asked for an arcana check aswell to wipe it out properly.

"How do I beat the Matt Mercer effect?"

Myself? No. But those wendsday night groups are pretty much AL (without the obligatory bookkeeping and stuff), with people just signing up and sitting down. And people still take the time to thank the DM. And no, i'm not Canadian or something, us Dutch people are actually considered on the rude...

"How do I beat the Matt Mercer effect?"

If that is the case then I feel kinda sorry for the DM tbh. Both in my regular playgroup and the wendsday night one-shots I play in its super rare for people not to thank the DM after a session.

    D&D General Welcome Thread

Hey yall and happy 2019! Thought I would pop in here quick and say hello :) I'm a 33 year old Dutchie, I've been playing 5e for about 2 years now and I play mostly with some (international) friends online, and sometimes on wendsday in a sort-off AL setting. I'm currently playing a Divine Soul...
