    Natural Lyncanthrope as a Monk

Isn't there an alignment conflict between the Chaotic werewolf and the Lawful monk? You might do better with a werebear (or Kung-fu Panda) or wererat.

    [3.5] How could I reskin a Shadow?

As another option, make the undertaker a cleric that has used rebuke undead to control the shadows in question. Mind you, you might have to change one stat fact about shadows, as to make someone immobile you would want to reduce their strength to 0, but when a shadow does that you don't get...

    How is the Paladin?

The paladin is great but could use a little clarity at two points: The divine mount can be summoned to one's side. Is this like a teleport mount to you spell? Is the mount otherwise elsewhere on the world or does it go to another, perhaps celestial, plane? Can a mount be dismissed...

D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 smart, tricky fighter build help please

I have seen a fighter use Improved Grapple to good effect vs. a Hag. Situational, but useful. Dwarf is a good solid choice. Humans get you feats faster. Half-Orc is good if you don't multiclass (you get strength) but since you want a tricky fighter I wouldn't recommend it. I don't think...

D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 smart, tricky fighter build help please

I would go for Human Fighter. If you need to tank, you need someone that can take the tank role. If you want to do a lot of tricky maneuvers, you need a lot of feats. This is what human fighters do -- it is their Thing. If you run out of cool feats you want to take, then you can always...

D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 smart, tricky fighter build help please

One fun fact: You can be a Paladin of Wee Jas, fall and become a Blackguard, and still worship Wee Jas. :) But if you want an "honourable yet evil" type, how Evil do you want to be? Because Blackguards tend to emphasize EVIL for the sake of EVIL, much like Paladins fight for GOOD for the sake...

    Critique Mo2/Fi4/Wiz12

Too bad your DM doesn't allow the PHB II. The Duskblade is one of the better designed fighting/mage gish builds. Full BAB and spells to boot! Alternatively, I have heard good things about the psychic warrior, albeit that is a) from the expanded psionics handbook (although it is also in the...

Final verdict on keen rapier w/ improved critical?

If you make it with a slashing weapon like scimitar or falchion, then Vorpal becomes very handy, as I believe in 3.0 you merely needed a critical hit, not a natural 20 confirmed as a critical, to behead an opponent. Maybe falchion to get larger heads (I guess it is a DM's call, but bigger...

    Critique Mo2/Fi4/Wiz12

Wouldn't it be simpler just to be a single-class cleric that fights a lot? I thought that this was the point behind CODzilla. You have the AC to tank, you have almost the hp of a fighter, and you have spells like Divine Might, etc., that can make you pretty fearsome in meelee.

    Help to Munchkin a Crusader

Not a "trick" as such, but it is worth looking at the Bo9S feat "Extra Granted Maneuver" as that speeds up your "refresh rate" giving you more and quicker access to your Crusader Maneuvers.

D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 smart, tricky fighter build help please

So this is assuming that you are going single-class Fighter, Blackguard as soon as possible, and then more levels in Fighter. Well you need Power Attack, Cleave, and Improved Sunder to even *be* a Blackguard. If you are tricky, you need the feats that allow for tricky maneuvers, so Combat...

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Bard: what enables him to assemble a team?

Interesting. I did not know that. However, I assume the bard in the OP is the leader of a group of other PCs, while Leadership instead provides one with an NPC cohort and some NPC followers.

up a level, down a level

Yes, I dropped from 13 to 12. I figured the answer would be no, but was hoping that I was wrong.

up a level, down a level

Wait, what? I don't have a gaming blog as such. I sorta recorded a campaign a long time ago, is that what you mean?

D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Bard: what enables him to assemble a team?

Featwise, Skill focus on any of Gather Information or Sense Motive or Disguise. Similarly, Investigator, Deceitful, or Negotiator are skill-boosting feats. Spell-wise, Disguise Self, maybe Charm Person (the right charmed person can be a wealth of useful information), or (if things get nasty)...

up a level, down a level

If a sorcerer is killed and raised and loses a level (going down to 12th) does that character get to switch out a spell known for a different one, for having "reached" an even-numbered level?

Grappling and the initial movement into your space

That or it turns out to be the strongest bird EVAR and flies off with its Huge playmate, making grapple checks to move at half speed at usual. :)

Grappling and the initial movement into your space

I had a 3.5 question involving a Huge creature with BAB +12 initiating a grapple: To start a grapple, I need to grab an opponent (a touch attack), succeed on the grapple check, and then move into an opponent's space. That movement does not count against the total amount I can move in a turn...
