I used Beholders two or three times in my Falconmoor Campaign, including an adapted version of the Beholder out of The Banewarrens (made the tower much larger and nastier; ditto for the beholder). They were definitely memorable fights. As they are iconic D&D critters, I enjoyed putting them...

My take on it (and I could be completely wrong) is that Cutter thought [ugh, forgetting Bale's character's name) his friend had gone too far with his obsession and was just trying to just put an end to the rivalry and be done with it...although it did seem a little off to me as well. Might hold...

Heroes is the only show I make the time to watch when broadcast; the Tivo picks up BSG, Lost (starting to wear a little thin for me this season), The Daily Show, Jerico, 30 Rock (very funny), The Colbert Report.

I really enjoyed it. While it had a "sci-fi" element in an otherwise grounded movie, I bought into it based on how they introduced and explained it (vs. The Illusionist, which I liked but was disappointed on their "cheat" to explain certain things). Telsa reminded me of Wulf Ratbane's League...

I decided to catch the first episode when it aired but expected it to be lame...wow, was I wrong. Love this show. Can't wait for a DVD. Only complaint: "Save the cheerleader, save the world!" Hmm... Not sure on that one, but otherwise it's fantastic. Hiro rocks.

I use Photoshop the same way (use it at work and prefer it over what I've tried out there specifically for running adventures). Nice pictures (but a little shaky/blurry) - it looks like you're getting a really good quality image! BTW, I liked the map of the two story inn: do you have a link...

Interesting outline, Shadowsmith. I'm looking more for an actual adventure: my regular campaign already requires quite a bit of prep time, so I'm shooting for recommendations of something that I could ready without a ton of work. Thanks for the suggestion though!

If you like the pad of paper, ditto to Kid C. If you want large rolls of paper, try Holcomb's Know Place - if they don't have it in stock they can special order it for you (it's pretty cheap) or you can order it off their website (easy to fnd via google). :)

I typically use grid paper so I don't need to worry about projecting a grid and scaling it; plus it allows me to use maps from a lot of different sources (like NWN) without worrying about adding a grid. In my case, my projector has a bit of a skew due to it's location, so having the grid...

Looks good! Quick question: I see it's grayscale only from the preview and the maps are keyed. Are there 1) color version available (I use a digital projector so ink costs aren't an issue) and 2) are there un-keyed "for the players" version of the maps included? Thanks in advance!

One of the issues with the sculpted Dwarven Forge product, while great looking, is its limited use - i.e. how many times are your players going through the same cave (or dungeon)? While you can rearrange the pieces as needed to fight that repetition somewhat, with a projector you can use any...
