Bas-Lag: The World of China Mieville

I ran a Victorian d20 Modern game that combined the races of Bas-Lag (from Dragon 352) with Adamant's Imperial Age London, and various Steampunk & Cthulhu elements. It was a blast! I am so excited to see that Adamant Entertainment has licensed Mr. Miéville's Bas-Lag setting <does the happy dance>

Yes, please make the font larger/legible. Other than that, it looks cool :)

WotC: Goodbye, Loren Greenwood, hello Greg Leeds

Well, I don't know much about either Mr. Greenwood or Mr. Leeds' background, but after reading <this article> it just looks like one "suit" replacing another. Yeah, I agree.

If its good, the whole series (which actually looks pretty interesting) will eventually make it to bbcamericashop.com.

    Spiderwick Chronicles.... (Possible Spoilers)

I've only read the first 2 books, but I really liked the moved. Great visuals, decent storyline, mostly good acting, and lots of action. My only (minor) gripe was it felt a bit rushed.

Game Night, by Jonny Nexus. You need to read it:)

Just finished reading the book and I found it entertaining. A couple of spots had me snickering as they reminded me of some situations in our games. And I liked the ending, very well done :)

"Previously on..." - Recapping the previous session

I type up a simple one page outline on my laptop that I call "Opening Remarks." Using this as a reference, I give a quick spiel (5 minutes tops) before our game starts. These usually involve any number of topics such as rules clarifications, interesting game industry news, and/or a brief recap...

Today My Bookcase Collapsed Under the Weight of My RPGs

This is one of the reasons why I avoid bookshelves for my RPGs. I just store them in metal file cabinets.

    New WotC PDFS!

Well, they started selling most of the 1st & 2nd edition pdfs at $5 a pop soon after 3rd edition came out. In fact, that's still the price for a lot of them. Let's hope they [significantly] drop the 3rd/3.5 ed. prices when 4th edition appears.

    Dinosour references -- Wikipedia help

Just out of curiosity, why is the article being considered for deletion? I'm not real familiar with Wikipedia's policies on editing and deletion, but the article looks fine to me.

Oh that's sad. My son and I just watched Plan 9 From Outer Space (Hilarious with the Mike Nelson commentary BTW).

    Moon men

There was a d20 product that came out in '03 called "Moonshot." I believe I got my pdf copy from rpgnow, but it looks like they no longer carry it. I had hoped to use it for a future campaign, but never got around to it. I haven't read much of it, but with a cursory glance, it looks pretty...

    I Am Legend [spoilers]

Again, it really doesn't matter to me who set the trap and its not worth arguing about. If you want, go over to imdb.com and jump on the message board. There's about a thousand threads with people arguing over who set the trap ;)
