event idea the only way it would affect ongoings in the tavern is if most of the people there were involved in the adventure..any and all sorts of storylines could evolve from these random adventures

event idea i would only want to use up either the carpe dm or the ahoy..not both...and as for style of play, it would still be free form play..but everyone needs to understand, that ultra-powerful characters would only cause ultra powerful enemies to appear and i am trying to gradually move up...

characters personally, i dont see a problem with doing that, because even though this free form is supposed to be based on D&D rules, many have characters that arent D&D oriented at all...so why not?..sounds perfectly normal and agreeable to me

u r right the last two paragraphs of your statement sum it up tyrian...there is always someone looking for a loophole to abuse the system, no matter what. eventually some of the rules you would like to have would be bypassed or outright not payed attention too..so then it is back to how can we...

eberron room?..yes! i am sooo for an eberron room as well, like tyrian and others have said, it is less restrictive on character types... and i also agree with the idea of power capping characters..the only..the only way i know of enforcing this capping issue is to make everyone post stats...
