I got mine today! I only had a chance to flip through it a bit. I discovered one bad thing about a B&W 4E book... I kinda like the green/red/gray color coding of the powers. Makes them stand out more. It won't matter after I make power cards for them, but still... Chris

I got my copy yesterday from Amazon, and while I've only really skimmed it, I was disappointed by the lack of a couple things. I was really hoping for more "neat" magic items like the Rod of Lordly Might. Also, didn't the Warforged article say to see this book for rules for intelligent magic...

Heh. I have my players hating those Slinger Kobolds. The stinkpots are the worst, because I made them kobold fecal matter... :D The party really wants to find a stash of gluepots so they can fight back though... Unfortunately, the kobolds use them up before they die... :D Chris

Oh, I have no problem with the mood. That part is fine... The problem I had with the former line was that it started the power creep of 3E. The feats in there became "must have" for players because they were so much better than the ones in the PHB. I had to eventually ban all feats from Quint...

Okay, Matt. You're getting one book to win me over... The 3E Quint books were definitely hit or miss, and many of them were very guilty of the early 3E "power creep". If you can pull this off, I'll buy the next book, too. Just please, I beg you... don't make them a monthly series like the 3E...
