I'm using the encylopedia arcane construct book for their design. I'll post the stat block this weekend (I do not have it with me at work). These little critters cost more then it would to make magic items that do the same thing, but a simple magic item wouldn't love me like my constructs do.

The best way to dodge the possible problem is during character creation. Require race selection be done before rolling stats, have stats rolled in order. This does not work with point buy for stats.

Hmmm. That was not my experience, but milage may vary. The way it was run for us, the clockwork mage's work was figured out of game, submitted inbetween sessions. If the mage had a design that already worked and was accepted, it was x days and y cash to make if he & his allies wanted to wait...

Yep! I know a bunch were made for the priest splat book, and I seem to recall some home mades & also some from dragon, but for the life of me I can not seem to recall them. Hmmmmm... :confused:

I'm looking for help - what uses have been made for channeling? I know turn undead, but the priest splat book added more, as well as some in dragon. Anyone remember a particular use? Thanks!

True - but currently it works the same way. 6 LP gives you 3 for speaking and 3 for writing/reading. A single skill point spent on the skill gives you 3 LP. It really just boils down to how much you wish to define/break down reading/writing and speaking. Currently, I assume 3 levels of each...
