Do these combat manuevers seem balanced?

I ignore the fighter since the rogue scares me... You ignore the fighter and attack the rogue, who does a feint that round. The fighter, his feelings hurt for being ignored, smacks the hell out of you (uh-oh, full power attack, +BA damage to each attack, unless he’s fighting 2 handed…). Since...

Do these combat manuevers seem balanced?

Joe is attacked by a rogue and a fighter. He ignores the fighter to protect himself from the rogue doing sneak attacks. This means he is flat footed vs the fighter, nor does he threaten the fighter. The fighter proceeds to either: full power attack, perform trips or disarms (since he doesn't...

Do these combat manuevers seem balanced?

Goolpsy: what say you to the alternate penalty I've suggested? you provoke an AOO from non-ignored foes whenever you are struck for damage by the foe you are ignoring. It eliminates the 'fierce' badger/bat/cat in 99% of the cases, but being struck by an ignored foe giving ALL other foes an AOO...

Do these combat manuevers seem balanced?

Hmm - defensive sunder limits the sunder attempt to be vs a foe attacking you, only vs what is used against you, lowers your ac vs others, and still has a chance of provoking an attack of opportunity. By the feedback, though, folks seem to see it as pretty good. I'll re-evaluate it. The...

Do these combat manuevers seem balanced?

Ignore Foe:....each round you continue to ignored a foe inflicting damage to you, you suffer a -1 to hit and AC against foes you are not ignoring. I understand your view, though I feal the true argument against this is purely meta or game mechanics rather then realism. Now, given that, I'd be...

Do these combat manuevers seem balanced?

Please let me know what you think - I'm thinking of adding these manuevers to my game... if these things are too out of 'whack', I need to know before the players abuse them & my monsters! Brace: as a move action, gain a +4 to resist Trip, Bull Rush, and Overrun – though you suffer -4 AC to...

    Eldritch Knight (full 20 progression)

    - - but this line of reasoning does not follow for the other 2 arcane casters, war mage and hex warrior. I think its fine to leave in. Full base attack with up to 7th level spells is too potent, even with the drop in saves & armored casting. The hex blade is the best example of the power...

    Arcane Trickster (full 20 progression)

These fellows seem a bit too good - and all abilities are per a rogue. Also, the bonus feats are too much... below is an alternate progression 1 trap find 2 sneak 3 trap +1 4 evasion 5 uncanny dodge 6 sneak 7 trap +2 8 Gain access to another school of magic 9 meta magic 10 trap...

    Eldritch Knight (full 20 progression)

To give these guys flavor, and limit them: allow only 4 schools & universal. This makes a true wizard a master of versatility, but gives these fellows enough room to have a good mix of spells. Also, no need for a familiar, a feat in CArc allows for that. Limit them to learning a maximum of 2...

D&D 3E/3.5 is there a comprehensive list of 3.5 feats and source book(s)?

Bump! Someone has got to have a list of feats from WOTC sources they can post/email! Hello!?! Ovistavin - any chance of you posting/emailing it? I'm not looking for the entire feats, just a list of names, brief (1 line) descriptions, and requirements. ......anybody? B:uhoh:B

    Cleaner, Faster Crafting Rules

I've been considering setting a DC to construct items based on shape/size - assuming a base material. If you wish to use more valuable materials, you may do so (a gold ring instead of tin) - but the additional value of the gold is separate from the construction time and cost. That is to say...

D&D 3E/3.5 is there a comprehensive list of 3.5 feats and source book(s)?

Hey Ovistavin, I’d love to see your compilation list! Could you post it, or perhaps email it to me? It would make my life much easier as a DM! I'll gladly give you 1000 xp for it, or a Pixie sized Flaming Greatsword +2 (your choice). Er - ok, both! B:]B :heh: Doh! I guess listing my...

    Improving the Warmage flavor

Well I feel that there should not be any requirements that are X or Y, like with scout. My suggestion is to make it either hide or move silent but not either or. I agree. I just haven't decided which is more appropriate yet. Spells w/ more then 1 spell in a level: War College: Scout - 4th...

    Improving the Warmage flavor

Consider it a bump! Ok - dodging the issue of power (for the moment) - do the requirements seem appropriate/balanced, and are there any suggestions for alternate requirements? They seem a bit low on the flavor side, so I'm certainly open to more suggestions! Also, still dodging that power...

    Improving the Warmage flavor

Hmm - I do not seek to give him too much versatility - perhaps I should brehobit's advice and drop the feats down to 3-4 spells each, while maintaining the focus. The extra spells learned are too few and far between to strongly impact his skills. Perhaps sacrifice spells known to change the...

    Dice Probability

My initial thought - there is a 20% chance the d100 generates a number 1-20. The chance that you generate a number equal or lower on 1 d20 vs another - I believe is 11/20. So, 11/20*1/5 or 11/100 or 11%. I'm just running numbers in my head, so this may not be exact this is a disclaimer B:]B

Shane_Leahy - a feat like this was suggested on the wotc site, but a school of magic was opened up for future purchases. B:]B

    Improving the Warmage flavor

You give to many new spells with each feat. The only other feat that grants new spells known only gives one spell. 1st: Arcane Disciple 2nd: do not remember the names, but the feats are for clerics of Faerun gods, grant several spells and an ability. **th: Unlike either, these feats have...

    Improving the Warmage flavor

Ok - updated list War College: Scout Requires Warmage class, 5+ ranks in hide or move silent, 2+ ranks in survival Adds the following spells to the list of spells known as a Warmage: 1st Camouflage, 2nd Invisibility, 3rd Invisibility Sphere, 4th Mass Camouflage, 4th Invisibility-Greater, 7th...
