I would agree with that (although my partner and I met in September... our anniversary is in October). A close (gamer) friend of ours married her husband on Halloween, and was very disappointed that the Rabbi wouldn't agree to allow the guests to come in costume.

I know the area. It's a pretty safe area, near the Mass Avenue theatre district. Parking is on the street, which may make it a bit challenging during the weekend theatre/bar time.

One negative comment that I have heard (second- or third-hand) was from some restaurant workers: "Those gamers don't tip worth ****." Otherwise, most of the comments I've heard have been neutral to positive.
