    The terms 'fluff' and 'crunch'

Well, I think I'll just use "pludge" and "chunder" from now on. Y'know, to avoid confusion. I'm all about avoiding confusion.

    Iron Lore: Malhavoc's Surprise?

    Yes. Yes, you should. :D

[XRP] Just what is in A Magical Society: Beast Builder anyway?

:D Aces! This is exactly what I was hoping for. Go Phantom Licensing Inquiries!

    Gaming Stores north of Boston

Dude, that's nothing. Nobody in MA pronounces Haverhill (HAY-vrul, fyi) right. :\ So, is Myriad Games worth checking out? Their site suggests a WOTC solamente style.

    African D&D Settings?

Have you thought of doing a licensed support thing, like Green Ronin's doing for their Mythic Vistas line? Dang it, I've only got so much money, and you keep making me spend more of it.

Roll Call of Published EN Worlders!

My stuff, what there is of it 1) JoeCrow, published as Joe Crow, coz I'm all unimaginative and stuff. 2) Well, most of these are mentioned in my sig, but here are some links. My first credit was "Dance the Night Away", in Atlas Games' En Route collection. The ENWorld store doesn't seem to...

Boston EN World game day on Saturday, January 29th

Well, can't do the morning slot, but sign me up for Wulf's Grim Tales thing. I enjoyed the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen quite a bit last time I was there.

Grim Tales: SLAVELORDS of CYDONIA - Advance Copy: Taking Q&A!

Schwing!! Hey, what about a Noir/Pulp supers book? Bit more focused than the big campaign books that seem designed to drop into any world, but I dunno. I think the Shadow and Doc Savage might work in any setting, with a bit of work. Aces. Me buy this now. Edit faster, puny developer! Or...

Tell me about Mongoose D20 Modern handbook

I wouldn't say that. I've purchased a pdf version of the SRD from CMG, and am quite happy with the product. Yeah, I have the free version in rtf format, but the CMG SRD is better organized and extensively bookmarked, and thus is much easier to use than the raw rtf files. Also, the separate spell...

    Your first character

Basic set, '82. Halfling, rolled up with straight 3d6 x 6 for stats. Tooled by kobolds, 2 rooms in. 1st longterm character, 1st edition thief, named Ta'aric. Eventually ripped off half the party and turned the other half against them, before ripping off the other half too and switching sides...

[Eberron] Has anyone come up with a "what the characters know" document?

Keith hit this briefly in a Dragonshard a month or so ago. Go here: http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/ebds/20040830a I think he said he'd do a more indepth treatment once he's done with the current round of culture expansions.

    Incantations

Well, in my campaign, they generally did a bucketload of research on how to enhance their rolls with outlandish components, detailed astrological charts, and a whole mess of action points. That's one of the reasons I adore the incantation system so much.

    City of 'Angel'?

Given the stat boost you'd need for Slayerhood, I'd go with a slightly adapted half-celestial template. Fighter/ranger sounds right though. Edit: Actually, considering where the Slayer power comes from, maybe adapted half-fiend...

Modern character generator: free for a limited time

Just did a quick test run on the generator. Y'know, that's a pretty useful toy, there. Guess I'm gonna have to buy your Modern Player's Handbook. Not exactly a surprise, though, since I've bought just about everything you folks have put out so far. If you can squeeze Grim Tales in there, too ...

    Shaman's Handbook - what's OGC?

It's all good. -Joe comes up for air- According to the divine Nikchick on the GR boards, "All of Shaman's Handbook is Open Content." I noticed that particular omission a couple of years ago, and asked them about it. Like just about everything GR does, all the text is OGC. -And Joe dives...

    [FDP] Big News!

Exclusive contracts. Malhavoc's and FDP's PDFs are now exclusively distributed through DriveThru, so there's no other place to get them. Apparently White Wolf owns DriveThru, so all their subsidiary labels can only sell PDFs through DriveThru. Guess I'm gonna have to buy Monte's stuff in print...

    Dungeon Crawl Classics #9

Glad that helped. Sorry I couldn't work up one of those fancy 3/4 view maps, but my Freehand-fu is weak. Also, very glad you enjoyed the adventure, folks. I enjoyed working on it, and I think it's one of the best things I've done. Nice to see folks enjoying my work.
