Well you can put me into the camp of I like rolling for stats. I don't see that high mods make a big difference. I think that a good DM will use CRs as a guideline, and smart players should even with low scores (except spell casting mods) usually be able to beat CRs that are 1-3 points above...

I say that they can be scroll or potion tatoos. (one use items) or ring tatoos and the like as well. I would say any magic item can be made into a tattoo, but it requires another feat by the one making the item/making the tattoo. Pretty simple really.

Well I thought Hexblade was pretty nasty because of of the adding cha to your saves and Mettle. I forgot to put it on him, but a ring of evation is an obvious choice for another magic item for him. (he would be more or less immune to spells that require saving throws.

I don't know Arkhandus. I like the assassin guard (it takes one to know one logic) The slaadi bodyguards are plenty of muscle after all.

Thanks Morrus I will try to get you a good Slaad King this after noon. And I forgot about the ELH Black Slaads (I think I already said this earlier) but mine are Non-epic Black Slaads. You could rename them, but Lavander Slaad just doesn't sound right.
