The EN World FREE Character Portrait Request Thread!

Request for a much loved character... I posted my character Mithras many months back, but unfortunately no one has given him a try, so I'm reposting him (along with a few changes to his appearance). I hope that someone will give it a try this time and I would be endlessly appreciative of anyone...

    Craven feat, overpowered?

The feat may not be as unreasonable as I expect. I haven't play-tested it to know, etc. I only have my initial reaction, which isn't exactly perfect. That's why I was hoping for some feedback here.

    Craven feat, overpowered?

One of my players is thinking of picking up the Craven feat from the FR book Champions of Ruin. Anyone else think this feat is overpowered? It seems like alot of extra damage per sneak attack. I don't know of any feat that gives you that much extra damage without some other sort of penalty (like...

    Playing a blind character...

I'm still amazed that no one has answered the original post: "The condition of Blinded mentions that some of the drawbacks can be overcome over time... anyone have an idea of how this could be interperted and implemented?" There seems to be mainly a steady stream of complaints, what's the deal...

    Playing a blind character...

Yeah, I know, but the character concept requires a wizard (which is a bit hard to explain without going into a massive explanation of the campaign world and history). Again, I don't have an issue with the minuses. I'm just trying to see what minuses a blinded character would have, since the SRD...

    Playing a blind character...

Why be so negative with the idea? I find it an interesting challenge and I'd think you'd be surprised at what can be overcome. I'm quite aware of all the drawbacks of a blind caster, I don't have a problem with them. I'm not trying to do some "Daredevil" thing, where the character gains some...

    Playing a blind character...

Brail, what else. My main idea, is carved into his own skin (which brings up, how many "pages" does a body hold?), or on hand materials, such as clay or wooden tablets, etc.

    Playing a blind character...

Well, it seems I have the rather insane idea of playing a blind wizard in our next campaign. The condition of Blinded mentions that some of the drawbacks can be overcome over time... anyone have an idea of how this could be interperted and implemented? Also, anyone recommend feats, other then...

Teleporting on a flying dragon's back?

    It is quite cinematic though!

Teleporting on a flying dragon's back?

The "why" is a lack of flying magic and the probability of the dragon flying off or simply staying in the air during combat.

Teleporting on a flying dragon's back?

If it is a grapple check, there seems to be no practical way to pull it off. When you teleport on the dragon's back, all you have is a movement action left, so no grapple.

    Spider Familiar?

Would a Tiny Monstrous spider be too powerful to use as a familiar?

Teleporting on a flying dragon's back?

"I'd first require a high Int or Spellcraft check to let the caster teleport to the right spot." Why? If it's a spot the caster can see, why couldn't he teleport there as per the spell describes? Teleport already has a built in mechanic for mistakes, why would there need to be another one?

    Spider Familiar?

Wow... there's no sample of this anywhere?

    Spider Familiar?

Anyone know of any rules on having a monstrous spider famliar? I know that the FRCS has one for Hairy Spider from the Monsters of Faerun book, but anyone know of one for a normal spider?

Teleporting on a flying dragon's back?

I'm not saying that more then one character will be transported per spell, only the caster. The basics question is if only the caster Teleports (or Dimension Doors), can he do anything to stay on the dragons back beyond his own immediate turn? He wouldn't instantly fall since he IS on the...

Teleporting on a flying dragon's back?

Yep, it's something that's going to likely (planned) to happen in an upcoming game. I'm not sure how to resolve it. Some players may Dimension Door, some may Teleport.
