    Bad Hair Cut Etiquette?

I'll see if Shannon is cool with it and do so if she is. Shannon is real and calls herself a Hair Goddess instead of a hairdresser, so I'd have to get permission. Although she'd probably be up for it. We'll see.

    Bad Hair Cut Etiquette?

It doesn't have to be that bad. The next time you wish your hair done, drive over to Knoxville, TN and go to Venus Salon. Ask for Shannon the Hair Goddess, explain what you would like done - you'll look so good afterward, that you and your hair will find religion.

How do I deal with a player that kills his character on purpose?

I've had to deal with this before too and like those times I cannot help but find this behavior to be nothing more than poor spotsmanship by the player. If he would have taken the time to talk it over with you (as DM), and given you the chance to slide this PC out of game and come into game...

Some people REALLY dislike Valentine's Day...

This reads like the beginning (or ending) of a Call of Cthulhu adventure. Creepycool.

Can Anyone Access the Wizards Boards?

I haven't been able to access their pages since Friday night. I thought that they took them down to fix a minor bug in the Search function, but now I wonder.

Looking for Resources on Roleplaying (Cultural/Psychological)

The Pulling Report by MIchael A. Stackpole located at: http://www.rpg.net/sites/252/quellen/stackpole/pulling_report.html This is the best source of information about the anti-RPG hysteria that occured in the 80s and 90s here in America. If you are writing a paper about the cultural effects of...

    Google blogger: 'I was terminated'

I'm a bit torn on this on. On the one hand, blogging negatively about your employer can result in an employee being fired at least and at worst being sued for libel or slander if it can be proven that their blog caused a serious loss in business. On the other hand, employees also have the...

    Do we coddle new Players?

Do I coddle new players? Yes and no. Lemmee explain. If I have a player who is unfamiliar with the rules then I will give them the benefit of the doubt and allow "take backs" if their action shows that they do not understand the rules in use. This will only go on for a few adventures...

What Would You Like To see In a d20 Modern or d20 System Supplement or Adventure?

Both actually. Have a higher pay rate for the known, established authors and a lower one for the new guys. Previously published stories could be the basis for entire game settings. I'd say about one-to-one-half or one-fourth ratio in word count from fluff to crunch. That would seem to...

What Would You Like To see In a d20/D&D Supplement or Adventure?

Do you guys think that having the adventure be scaleable to different levels is important?

Extoll your hate of Valentine's Day (was: Extoll the virtues of your love!!)

I don't think that the true spirit of Valentine's Day has been captured yet because nobody has made a V-Day card that bursts open with Lovecraftian hentai for the reader of the card. You could call the line, Necronomicards.... Although the episode of Invader Zim in which the kids handed out...

What Would You Like To see In a d20 Modern or d20 System Supplement or Adventure?

I'm just curious, here. There is a lot of talk about what is good and what is bad in published adventures and supplements, but I haven't seen a lot of attempts to ask the people what they want to see. So here it is. (Note: This is a slightly changed version of a similar post in order to get...

Why no index is new WotC books? *Update: Received "official" answer... kinda...*

One of the big turn-offs for d20 Future is that there is no index. Makes it a bitch to try and find the right rules section.

    Good starting ruleset for a 9 yr-old?

The DnD Basic Game is really good for beginners, although it is set up more for tactics and combat - but then again no more so than the old red book from the 80s was. I'd recommend that for a game that was still in print. For a game that is now out-of-print, I'd recommend the WEG Star Wars...

Call of Cthulhu d20 Preservation Society

Hello my name is jeff37923, and I play d20 CoC. The only disturbing thing is that I get to watch people discuss how the Necronomicon is real on the local goth boards between games.
