    A solution to Piracy--Navy SEALS!

It just recently worked off the coast of Africa. :p Another solution might be self-destructing .pdf files (with smoke and everything). Then there is the old petrification .pdf. Take a mug shot of a medusa and put it on page 1. Finally, if none of the above, research needs to be funded for...

How Has the WotC PDF Situation Affected You REALLY?

Two impacts on me. I've slowly been collecting old edition .pdf files to fill out my collection. Now my OD&D collection will remain a smile with a missing tooth. Second, it will be more difficult to run games via Maptool. I have two players who live in different states. Until WotC releases...

Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go right now!

I recall a game in which our wizard ran out of spells, and then desperately threw his bedroll at the water elemental in hopes of soaking up some the water. :)

I own hardcovers and I own PDFs legally. Can I print my PDFs to use at the gametable?

Oh wow, how did our copyright laws get so silly in the first place? Can I print a copy of The Player's Handbook pdf for my dog? He can't read, so I don't see how this would infringe on any rights. I'd hate to have to buy him a hard copy; he might pee on it. :p

The Real Reason(s) Behind the PDF Debacle

I'm sure slowing piracy, as he said, is one reason. My guess on the undiscussed 'other' reason is this: It is likely that future 4e products will revive many of the older campaigns...Ravenloft, Spelljammer, Dark Sun, etc. Perhaps the older versions of these settings are what WotC wants shove...

    D&D's Army

caudor! When I pass away (probably in an old folks home), they will have to pry my books from my cold hands. And if I see death coming, I might grab on with my teeth too :)

This is exactly what I've been wondering. If not .pdf, then what?

Forked Thread: How much does WotC policies matter to your enjoyment of the game

As I said in the 'Weaning off the Sauce' thread, I've let it go. Yes, I'm not happy that I can't buy .pdf files anymore, but don't see any reason to punish myself (not playing or buying D&D) to protest. Also, I don't see why so much anger is directed at WotC while seemingly less anger is...

    Weaning Off the Sauce

I've let it go. I'm going to let the storm rage without me, play the game, and keep having fun. I might not be able to get pdf files anymore, but the only person/group/thing I'm worried about enabling is me...to play.

    I love D&D!

It is so nice to see a ray of sunshine break through the clouds. Oh, that's cheesy, but true. Let's get back to having some fun, eh? :)

Exclusive interview WotC President Greg Leeds

What has me curious is the mention of alternative methods of digital distribution of content. Up till now, .pdf has been the method of choice (and still is for DDi). As far as I'm aware, there are no feasible alternatives to .pdf for rich content. Anyone have a clue what method he might be...

WotC puts a stop to online sales of PDFs

Wow, I can't believe this is happening. I'm taking a break from D&D (both playing & purchasing) until all this blows over. In the meantime, I can get my adventure fix by playing World of Warcraft or something. Having gone the straight and narrow route myself, I kinda feel betrayed by this...

    Life and the Game

Right now, I'm a full-time care giver for my five-year-old grandson. I love this job. In the past, I worked in technology (email administrator/programmer/network admin).

WotC: H1-H3: Please put up art and map galleries

Ah yes, thank you. :) I stand corrected. Thank you.

Looking for 4th edition adventure suggestions

I'd suggest looking over the 3rd party 4e options. One such adventure is Dungeon Claw Classic #59 - Mists of Madness (Goodman Games). This will give a good taste of running 4e for only two bucks. Note - I'm in no way affiliated with Goodman Games...just a fan/customer. :)

Buck Rogers XXVc wasn't that bad a game.

I'm one who bought, played, and enjoyed Buck Roger XXVc. However, my memory is not all that great. I think I had just gotten out of the army when I started playing it. Like many things, the game for me now is more a feeling than a gaming experience. I played the game during a rather happy...

Wow! Not only a great campaign...it could serve as an improvised weapon :) Congrats on getting the hard goods in your hands. I bet it felt good just to hold it.

4E/Earlier Editions Hybrids: Why the difficulty?

If someone is willing to put in work, then it is not impossible. However, evidence suggests that it is not practical at all. How could one conclude this? 4e has been out for almost a year now. Can anyone point to one...just one...previous edition adventure that has been completely...
