The only change that really sucks is the Avenger armor nerf. Were Avengers too good? I mean, considering their crappy damage, high defenses were basically the only thing they had. Now that's gone too.

I can't help but smile when I look at the guy's art. It evokes an emotional response. I can't say that about many of the other art I've seen on the WotC site; in terms of raw technique, they're all better, obviously. But this art is fun.

I'm not a big fan of Carcassone; it's a decent "entry-level" game, but I prefer a lot of other, deeper, more complicated games. In a sense, it's like Risk: a low level of minimum skill to master, then it's all luck.

They're minions. They're supposed to suck. I generally half the XP value of nearly all the minions I use, and they're still bad. But yeah, the other thing to do is to have them attack in waves instead of all at once.

That sounds more like a problem with Rain of Blows, since you could do the same thing with a Flail for even more damage. You couldn't sneak attack, of course, but the extra damage from the Flail would be better (and you could just use the Ranger MC and actually get to choose your skill).

And if you're a Bear Shaman who worries about AC, you could just take chainmail proficiency. Problem solved.

Bards would work okay in Heroic levels, but would kick serious butt once they hit Paragon, and everyone gets Agile Opportunist and Melee Training. You could probably get at least a dozen basic attacks each turn with all the sliding going on.
