mystery race : what would you hate the most ?

I voted half-vampire. I like catfolk, so there. :p And Smurfs (although mine are Small and carnivorous, like Athasian halflings...).

Magic items are finally rare !

Same here; I like the items to be there, but dislike it when they're essential to the character rather than a nice bonus or cool extra ability.

How Come There Is No "Wish" Spell?

DM: Whatta ya mad at me for? The Ifrit is the one who screwed over your wish and turned you into a can of Campbell's Chicken Noodle soup. Player: And it was his idea to heat the soup over a hotplate and eat it? DM: That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

How Come There Is No "Wish" Spell?

Except that the "creature" is still the DM screwing over the PC.

    Adapt or Perish!

I haven't heard that one before. I like it! Maybe I'll take firebender instead and work my way up the electromagnetic spectrum...

    Warlord vs. Tactician

Currently, the name I most favor is "Firebrand"; it's non-military, flavorful and evokes the image of someone who inspires others by word, deed and charisma rather than by magic. It doesn't have the negative connotation of "thuggish tyrannical leader of mercenary scum" that "Warlord" has...

    soldier instead of warlord

If they called the class the "Instigator", "Shepherd", "Agitator" or "Firebrand" and the power were "suggestions", "exhortations", "encouragement" or "counsel", I don't think I'd have a problem with the class. Meh; I think that I prefer the Bard, at this point; militaries have used music...

    soldier instead of warlord

Oh, I get that a "Leader" has to keep his "subordinates" in the fight, but doesn't that presuppose that the rest of the party even pays attention to what the "Warlord" has to say? If another party member started treating my PC as if my PC were a "subordinate" based on the class written on his...

    soldier instead of warlord

Warlord: "Do this! It's Tactics!!!eleven11!" PC: "Whatever. Hey, I suddenly am hitting better! Pelor must love me!" PC2: "Hey, me too! Yay, Pelor!" :\

    soldier instead of warlord

That would be a stupid mechanic. The concept of a "Leader" class is even worse. I don't get how buffing and healing="Leader"; buffing and healing have traditionally been support tasks. I begin to think that "Sidekick", "Henchman" or "Valet" would be more suitable than "Warlord".
