R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

Metrius checks the front door and finds it locked. It's a fancy lock, luckily, with an unlocking switch on the inside handle. "Shall we be off then? Who knows how much of a headstart they have."

    Looking for Trouble [Orsal Judging][Concluded]

Lucien ponders the divergence of the tracks as well as the words of his comrades. "As much as I loath leaving those monstrocities loose, if we can find the source of these foul things and put an end to him then that would be for the best." With that the half-elf heads off after the knight's...

    General Discussion Thread X

I think I've mentioned this before, but is there any way we can get the Atlas & Almanac thread stickied?

    Looking for Trouble [Orsal Judging][Concluded]

Lucien cleans his weapons and puts them away. "I can certainly try." ooc: Do I need to make a Search check to find the ogre tracks again, or just go with a Track check?

R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

From conversations you've heard in your time in town you recall that the dock complex is about a half-day's walk north.

ooc: So are you all agreed about going to the docks? Are you going to walk or try to find transportation?

With the two zombies in front of him finally down Lucien moves forward toward the closest remaining foe, swinging his weapons in a deadly cross. ooc:Moving to L21 and attacking Z4. Mace attack on Z4 = 19, handaxe attack on Z4 = 19. Mace damage on Z4 = (5-5) 0, handaxe damage on Z4 = 7.

R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

The group examines the storeroom and the showroom but find both empty of rats or humanoids. Fimble's "enhanced" sight reveals nothing of substance either. Gideon does find what appears to be a receipt for a carriage service. It's dated that day and seems to indicate that Drezel purchased a...

R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

Gideon opens the door and Tor rushes through, closely followed by his companion. The pair finds themselves standing in the "showroom" of Drezel's shop. Once again there are no light sources, save the sunlight peeking through the drapes covering the front windows. A quick scan reveals nothing...

ooc: I'm a little confused. Can we get an updated map please?

The storeroom is about 20 feet square. Your entrance is near one wall. The opposite wall has a door on the right hand side. The shelves are along the wall to your left. On them rest several small knicknacks, statuettes, jewelry boxes and such. There's no sign of any other living things.

The Stuff of Dreams (Orsal Judging)

ooc: I thought we were on opposite sides of the room? Perhaps somesort of layout is in order so we don't get confused.

R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

Babette utters a spell of protection then moves up to help shed some light on the situation. She holds the sunrod up into the opening as Tor pops his head up to look around. The chamber appears to be a storage room. No windows are visible, but there is a door in one wall. Several crates sit...

R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

Yes, Babette has a sunrod, but until she, or it, gets closer to the opening you can't really see much of the chamber above you.

Tor examines the remains. Nothing harmful presents itself, unless one of the group is allergic to straw. Composing himself, he manages to clear the remaining debris and finds himself staring into a two-foot-square entrance into a dark chamber.

ooc: They appeared to be stone statuettes, ranging in size from just under a foot to two feet in height. The group examines the now demolished barrier. The crate is still there, pieces of straw sticking out of the ruined bottom, but it should be much easier to move out of the way now.

R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

Tor is unable to maneuver out of the way of the falling debris, taking several hits from the falling items. The rest of the party fairs better, mayhaps because Tor's body slowed it down some. ooc: Tor takes 8 damage from falling debris, having failed his Ref save. Everyone else manages to...

R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

ooc: You're in a nearly vertical shaft, with the crate at the top. You may be out of the initial fall, but they are going to tumble down the shaft and everyone happens to be in the way. Unless Tor plans on catching them all. :)

R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

ooc: the crate appears normal, ie: not watertight. Tor adjusts his stance as best he can in the tight quarters and lashes out with his chain at the crate above his head. The weapon fouls on the remains of the trapdoor, however, and fail to do so much as gouge the wood. Tor curses quietly as...

R2: Rats in a Maze [Manzanita judging]

Tor grips his chain in both hands and, after making sure his companions are clear, swings it upward at the trapdoor with everything he has. The chain strikes the door squarely in the middle and the fighter finds himself in a shower of wooden shards. Tor takes a moment to admire his handiwork...
