Ravnica: Is This The New D&D Setting? [UPDATED & CONFIRMED!]

So Eberron is out in digital format and Ravnica is the hardcover book. Should have been the other way round. :-/

Ravnica: Is This The New D&D Setting? [UPDATED & CONFIRMED!]

The Ravnica items are now listed on the D&D web site. I don't see any other setting books there. http://dnd.wizards.com/products/tabletop-games/rpg-products

Ravnica: Is This The New D&D Setting? [UPDATED & CONFIRMED!]

The "we" doesn't refer to everyone in D&D, but I'm not alone, so since there's more than one of us who don't want MTG in D&D, then we constitute a "we" if not the "we". And as long as Ravnica doesn't come at the expense of something D&D related (instead of MtG), then sure, I can live with just...

Ravnica: Is This The New D&D Setting? [UPDATED & CONFIRMED!]

It's not that we don't want something new, it's that we don't want MtG in our D&D. And technically it's not a new setting, since it already exists in MtG, it's just "new" to D&D. How about something actually new and original?

D&D Reader App Coming This Fall? [UPDATED]

I have to side with Remathilis here, and point out that the problem isn't 3rd parties offering the content in different formats, but offering it in the same format for the same price with fewer features. We are scratching our heads because DDB (D&D Beyond) is working on an app for iOS and...

Can Hobby Stores Make Their Saving Throw?

While I feel very bad for anyone whose livelihood is threatened by technological advancement (I'm sure my job won't last either eventually) as much as it can be fun to visit an FLGS, I don't understand paying more than you have to for a product for the sake of supporting a B&M store? The FLGSs...

D&D Beyond Launches on August 15th for $3-6/m

Unless I've missed something in all the announcements, DDB is not a VTT. Even with an initiative tracker and encounter builder (?) it will not work like ROll20 or Fantasy Grounds where you can have a map that all players can see, tokens to move on the maps, and virtual dice. I get that some...

Free Doorways of Yyadrisil - Free magic doors for your 5e D&D campaign

This is my very first publication on DM's Guild, in fact, my first real publication anywhere. Doorways of Yyadrisil is a D&D 5e supplement for DMs who wish to add some magic doors to their adventures. Each door has two pages of stats and description accompanied by an illustration. I've put it...

    D&D 5E Enhancing "Storm King's Thunder"

I am running my players through Lost Mine of Phandelver as a preliminary to SKT instead of using the Nightstone adventure. I am definitely going to use some of the foreshadowing suggestions in this thread. So far to foreshadow SKT in LMoP; 1. the PCs have seen a violent storm happening at sea...

    Crafting a Murder Mystery

Divination magic can be a problem, just remember that the answers they get can be vague. I think there was an article in an issue of Dungeon a few years back that addressed this. I will check when I am at home. One suggestion I always wanted to try goes like this: A person is found murdered...
