Understood. What I'm going to look into is perhaps creating a feat which allows limited casters such as sorcerers and rangers to know a few more spells--perhaps no more than 1/3 their caster level +1. And the spells chosen can be no greater than 4th level for sorcerers and 3rd level for others.
