I use the electric-blue style so I can't speak to the effect on other styles, but...
Is there a set of three of four colors that will show up universally, i.e. on all the themes? That would (arguably) be a big step forward to reaching some sort of standard.
Thoughts?

I know (or at least am under the impression) that ENWorld is working on/updating its own RSS feed.
I was wondering, though, whether any of you use any other RPG-related RSS feeds and if so, which ones? To date, the only one I've really looked for and found is GameWyrd RPG Reviews.
Thanks in...
Guilty as charged
I am certainly guilty of this.
I am glad you brought this up, though, because the only reason I use highlighted text (a bright blue) was because I thought it would be easier for others to read. If that's not the case, I'd like to change my ways so that it is easier...
This is just sad...this petty cry for either attention or validation. If you want the advice of the community, ask for it openly and honestly. If you want someone to simply rationalize a decision for you, call your girlfriend or mom...
It's not something that many people on here could pull...
I'm looking for something in the vein of The Wizard's Amulet by Necromancer or Orcfest by Fast Forward Entertainment.
In short, does anyone have additional suggestions for adventures which are specifically tailored to walking a new DM through the process step by step?
Thanks in advance,
msd
Eruin slowly extends his hand toward Rupert to take the parchment. As he begins to peruse the terms, he turns his body away from the others. Tracing the individual words with his index finger, his mind slowly drifts into another realm as he ponders a multitude of questions: "Who is this...
Eruin cautiously eyes the man but upon momentary reflection and consideration of the alternative of staying yet another day at the inn, decides to follow the stranger into the back room...

First off, pardon what are inevitably going to be some overly broad generalizations...
As someone relatively new to gaming, I've noticed (somewhat strangely, to my mind), that the group of gamers I know are not really like the kind of people you typically see hanging out in the local game...
Another issue
I don't know you or what you consider to be (im)moral so I can't and won't comment on that element.
I would caution you against internet deals that seem too good to be true. The way you've described makes it sound like it could easily be a scam. Perhaps its not, in which case...
Although normally loathe to approach others, Eruin's interest is piqued at the thought of a return to more adventuresome ways.
Slowly, he gathers his things from the bar and slowly approaches the new guest in an effort to learn more.
"Mr. Vankeleen, I am called Eruin, a ranger of the wild, and...
And the real potential tragedy, IMHO, is that publishers who were not previously into PDF products might look (should it happen to occur) at slow PDF sales through DTRPG and conclude that "wow...PDF just isn't worth it." This would be tragic because I don't think thats what customers are saying...
Ridiculous?
I don't think it's dumb at all, and with all due respect, your analogy seems a little off. I think everyone would be cautious if they had bought a unique font and then commerically re-distributed a piece of work printed in that font.
That's not the case here...the maker of the...
I like it...I would change the colors (but that is me and just a personal thing) and the block surrounding "Paladin" in the first left-hand column is perhaps a little big taking up a bit too much real estate...
I do like it though and I feel pretty sure that these are things that I would *not*...
Available in Boston, MA
Basically, after reading this thread and seeing B&N thrown around a couple of times, I checked (on the off chance) that my local B&N had it. Yeah!!!

I see the art packs as part of the functionality of the software just as in the same way that I consider the various fonts that come with Word to be part of the functionality of the software. While I appreciate that reasonable minds can...
While I can see why a company would take this position (in the abstract), I have to (playing devil's advocate) ask the question of whether or not they are really serving their own best interests? As you say, the product is beautiful and given the price point, I would think every small publisher...
As the door to the Red Dragon Inn opens, a shadowy figure fills the frame of the door. A dark blue hood conceals reveals little about the man's face or his expression and leaves only his sturdy chin exposed to view.
The figure steps through the door and surveys his surroundings without...
What?
I think you will all agree that I've been pretty supportive (perhaps too) of Fluid in this thread. As a result, I think I've earned one small pot shot...
You'd love to see your maps on gaming tables everywhere? Then why the restriction? Can Fluid possibly be so obtuse as to not be...
You very well might be right
I think you're probably right and the introduction of competition will only make the quality of product better.
Having said that, Fluid's attempt to compete with more established products (which, as evildmguy rightly points out are not limited to CC2) will, IMHO...
