Contingency - what can it do?

You are correct. It is indeed a case of action-reaction casting. It is important to keep the conditions simple, one of the old examples was releasing a Flameshield(cold) when caught in a Fireball.

    Mirror Image Sage Advice

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Mirror Image Sage Advice I agree. If you have your eyes closed to attack, you are treated as blind when you are attacked.

    Mirror Image Sage Advice

Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Mirror Image Sage Advice Then you had better have blind fighting or that wizard/rogue is going to take you apart.

    D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Flat-footed, Balance, and Terminology

It is the balance skill, they should have just said that you loose your dex bonus while balancing unless you have 5 or more ranks of balance.

D&D 3E/3.5 What are your current 3.5 House Rules?

The way you describe treating the pluses is the standard way to apply them. The pluses from GMW overlap, not stack, with any existing pluses on the weapon.

    Fireballs into melee?

I don't have any trouble with them counting squares, but my house rule is that if an area effect spell will effect everyone in melee with anyone that is definitely caught in the effect. So you can fireball the troll, but unless the troll is making use of his reach all your party members...

    Reducing Arcane Spell Failure

Sounds good, if you are going to keep spell failure. I just threw ASF out, as long as the caster has the armor feat for the armor he is wearing he has no chance of failure.

    D&D 3E/3.5 [3.5] Bane +1

This is still not epic. To be epic it must be crafted by a 20+ level caster with the craft epic weapon feat and therefore has a market price of over 200k gp. +6 epic weapon = 6^2*20000 = 720k gp

    [FR] Spellfire Wielder feat?

You always get a save if the spell allows a save.

Raise Dead now costs 5000 GP!

Re: 10%? I always treat magic items as commodities, so the players can usually get 80-90% market price if they sell quickly. Full value if they take time and find the right buyer. I just can't imagine treating a magic item like a used sword.

Point buy - How high do you go? (and why)

Similar experience. Our first 3E game I let them build with 42 points. Not any more, 32 is enough to get a few great scores or all good scores.

skills: so when your INT goes up...?

I think the answer is in the faq. I use a house rule and do give the retro skill points, I also don't allow items to provide a skill point boost.

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Moradin Domains?

All the racial gods pre-date FR. Talk your DM into allowing them, use the stats in the FRCG.

    D&D 3E/3.5 3.5 Moradin Domains?

Moradin is the dwarven All-Father god, protection is a function of that. Clangadin Silverbeard is the dwarven god of battle.

Shrink Item and Max Shrinkable Volume

If they ment a 2x2x2 cube they would have said "a 2 foot cube", since they said 2 cubic feet, they are talking about 2 1x1x1 cubes.

Re: Problems You can. However in the described situation you can't because the smoke stick is providing concealment.

    Arrows

There are classes of ammo: Long and Composite Long bows use a yard long shaft, Short and Composite Short bows use a 2 foot long shaft Crossbows (except for the Hand Crossbow) use a 1 foot long shaft, Hand Crossbows use a 6-8 inch shaft. These are real world numbers, the PH doesn't specify the...

    Damage Reduction

You can't depend on that. Quite often, special qualities that apply to a monster type are left out of the individual description.
