Mmmm, cthuloid...and for those of us who recall 2nd edition- they wear fez! How cool is that? .....Ok, so it's not very cool..but they are psionic megalomaniacal alien monsters from below..and that is cool.

I would say that Relics & Rituals has become the definitive book of magic spells and items- though Magic of Faerun follows close, and Traps Treachery is THE traps book. Hasn't been beaten yet, and I doubt it ever will be.

Tough choice- either Crucible of Freya by Necromancer or the Witchfire Trilogy by Privateer. Tomb of Abysthor is a wonderful dungeon crawl- but on the other hand none of them will matter when Myriador get Deathtrap Dungeon onto the shelves. Best. Dungeon. Ever. :)

Heh..I just got back from the local video shop- where I bought Conan on DVD for £7! Hoody Hoo! Time to go watch barbarian goodness now...

Has to be Illithids..love the Cthuloid vibe, and for sheer monster rampage fun- Mr Owlbear. Ever since I saw my first one 12 years ago I've liked 'em. They represent the wierdness and fantasy of D&D- and they kick PC ass but good.

I have a near obsessive passion for new monster books, especially those with truly off the wall creatures inside. It's partly the wonder of finding something new, and partly the looks on my player's faces at a critter they've never seen before. I have dabbled in monster creation- even got one...

From the look of things here, I'm not the only one who struggled with certain books- to this day I still can't finish Masks of Mayhem! As for favourites, have to go with Knights of Doom and Deathtrap Dungeon...along with a dozen more. :p

After a mooch on the forums I found some interesting news, in June this year the guys at Myriador have two new books planned- Deathtrap Dungeon, and Shamutanti Hills. It seems they're doing the whole Sorcery! series as a mini campaign. Sigh- bye bye FR, time to change worlds. Oh, and they are...

And don't forget that Supers villains tend not to act in the same subtle manner as D&D types. Rather than have the bad guy hide behind minions and shadowy plots have them face the heroes head on, full of threats and megalomaniacal confidence.

Apparently they spent a small fortune on marketing the game, only to have the movie company pull the license out from under them.

Any chance we'll ever see a print version of this? I do really like the sound of the book, but I just don't like the whole PDF thing. :)

I really doubt it would be worth having for any company. Most peeps just play Cyberpunk :)
