If I pay money for something I want it actually be *mine*. Which is why the Kindle is such a failure in my mind. As is the DDI. I don't want to 'rent' something that I may well use years or even decades after a gaming system has been abandoned by its creators.

You can't kill Gods in my campaigns. The fact that D&D deities even have actual stats is absurd. They are GODS. Want to get rid of a god? Undermine his/her church. But the God themselves can't be killed by a mortal. And gods don't just let anyone join their ranks.

As a GM, one of the most useful books I have in my collection is -Pocket Ref- by Thomas J. Glover. It can be found in most hardware stores. Invaluable. I keep a copy on my desk and one at work. I've lost count of how many times it helped me during a game.

Best supers genre system ever. And the supplements are solid and entertaining.

Except that the 3E fans were quite correct about 2E and the 4E fans are totally wrong about 3.5. 3.5 is the last edition of D&D.
