    The Dashing Swordsman

OK, I got this idea from a comic called the Order of the Stick. It may have already been done, but here's how I see it. Works wonders for Bards! The Dashing Swordsman Prerequisites: Charisma 15+ BAB: +3 Skills: Any Perform at 8 ranks, Bluff 4 ranks, Balance 4 ranks, Jump 4 ranks, Diplomacy 4...

    Custom magic system

Well, the first portion, where the player says what they want to do, and the DM decides how difficult it would be, that takes no time at all in-game, that's just a quick "How would this work?" "Quite well, but it would be pretty tough to pull off." "Well, how about this?" "Perfect. Roll." type...

    Custom magic system

OK, I have never really liked the spells-per-day system that D&D uses. It's been explained to me in a way that makes sense and is logical, I just don't really like it all that much, so here's a different system that I came up with, and would like to get some critiques on. First, I'll describe it...

    Frightened combatant (PEACH)

So, would you all be willing to incorporate this feat into your campaigns, do you think it's ready for normal play?

    Frightened combatant (PEACH)

The only penalty fear usually gives that's negated is the one on attack rolls. Besides, the bonus only applies to the creature that the fear came from. If you failed your saving throw against a dragon's frightful presence, you would only get the bonus against that dragon. In the above...

    Frightened combatant (PEACH)

OK, here's a feat I came up with rather quickly, after reading through Hero's of Horror and how it presents fear. I got to thinking that not everyone reacts the same way to being fearful, so I came up with this. Frightened Combatant When you become fearful of someone, or panic strikes at your...

    Concentration Question

Does it make sense to anyone that the Concentration skill, which is used almost exclusively by casters (Wizards, Clerics, etc) and skill-monkeys (Rouges, Bards, etc), is based off your Constitution, which is only of vital importance to tanks and meleeists (Fighters, Barbarians, etc.)? I think...

    Question regarding Evasion

Oh, it's a broken item, but it works pretty well. It was just badly worded. My friend argues that, since it's the item, not the attack that is granting the saving throw, it would not work.

    Question regarding Evasion

OK, this question came up with the Monk's Evasion class ability. In the 3.5 PHB, it is listed as follows. Now, our debate is, I have a monk with a magic item, the Starmantle Cloak. Now, the text for Starmantle Cloak is that if you are attacked by a nonmagical weapon, you take no damage and...

    Material Substitution

Indeed. This was mostly designed for, as the description for it implies, times when you need to improvise because, for whatever reason, you don't have the right stuff. Maybe some rouge lifted your component pouch, or maybe you pulled an Absent Minded Proffessor trick and just plain forgot it...

    The Chi Wizard

...I'm not sure where you're getting that number of spells from, since they only learn one each level. Which means that they have the option of learning one first level spell when they hit third level, or they can continue to expand their arsenal of cantrips. And their spells can only be...

    Material Substitution

OK, here's a feat I thought up for people who play casters, and who actually go about with the Spell Components that are too expensive for Eschew Materials, but not really expensive (like the diamonds needed for Raise Dead). Material Substitution Prerequisites: Eschew Materials, Caster Level 6...

    The Chi Wizard

OK, this is something I came up with the basics for in about five minutes, and have expanded somewhat since then. The main idea is an arcane casting class that is not limited in the number of spells per day they can cast. However, because of that, they only know a very small selection of...

    Draconaraei

I'm not debating that fact. They are overpowered, and since they gain powers by killing dragons, dragons do NOT like them. Whenever a dragon finds out about one, as I said, they do everything in their power to get rid of them. Even Gold, Copper, Red and Black dragons are all willing to work...

    Draconaraei

Overall. No matter how many breath weapons it acquires, it still has to wait 1d4 rounds after using one before it can use another one. Mostly right, but a couple mistakes. First off, it does not gain the Ex abilities of the killed dragon, unless specifically stated to do so, such as with the...

    Draconaraei

Well, as I said, this was originally made for a Palladium system, but he told me that the way he had it set up, a Draconaraei that killed a dragon, which had to be adult or older, absorbed all of that dragons powers, gaining all it's spell-like abilities, any supernatural abilities it has, and...

    Draconaraei

Ok, a friend of mine told me about this that he had written up for a Palladium game/systen, and I thought it sounded really good. So, I got his permission, converted it to 3.5, and now I'm posting it here for you all to critique and evaluate! It's the Draconaraei, a type of dragon. He originally...

    Would this work?

Well, it's not casting Magic Missile with a bow, it's enchanting the bow so that arrows it fires are treated as Magic Missiles in that they never miss. So you're doing normal damage for the bow, guaranteed hit, and you can apply all the archery feats like Multishot and Rapidshot to it.

    Would this work?

OK, a friend mentioned this to me a little while ago, and I'm wondering if it would work. Per RAW, I can't see why it wouldn't, but I don't claim to know all the rules in the books. He suggested enchanting a bow so that arrows it fires act like Magic Missiles, in that they never miss. Could...
