    Paladin Actions - Appropriate?

Legitimate authority be damned? Legitimate authority be Damned. Would it make a difference if it was a general of the paly order? Then veto the agreement, at the beginning not later. To do otherwise legitimises the agreement. Do you agree that if the agreement was for payment for a job, the...

    Paladin Actions - Appropriate?

I took “the end justifies the means” not about giving a warning shot, but about breaking a truce and attacking. Did the imp KNOW that there was a paladin around when it struck the deal (does it matter either way)? The imp would probably know that being around A paly would be dangerous. If the...

    Paladin Actions - Appropriate?

If it was inconsistent with the way the the paly had been played previously, then there should be repercussions. There should be repercusions for using "I wasn't the one that agreed" defence. Most other things need to be worked out by you and the player since you don't seem too upset about...

    Prestidigitation

I agree with Mistwell about not needing to concentrate to maintain the spell, but feel that changing the effect (say from cleaning to TK) would require a standard action. I am not aware of anything in the rules that spells stop when the caster is unco unless thay are concentration based...

    Is this legal?

Is there another item in the DMG with a proper racial limitation, because ANYONE can use this item, albeit at a reduced power level. I see that as different than not being able to use the item at all. I'd leave it at DMG price personally. I also see a difference between something in the DMG...

Help: Evil DM sundered my wand :(

In my experience it's that PCs want loot but are not so worried about dying so they don't sunder. NPC's on the other hand, want to "survive" more than they want loot, so they are more inclined to sunder. Or they just want to annoy the PC's. ;)

How do you deal with canon fanatics?

While I have never had to suffer under cannon-lovers here is a thought. Nowhere in the books do they talk about the actual characters that the player are going to use. Thus they CANNOT exist!

Locate Creature: How known is Known To You?

I'm not backed up by RAW on this, but the dreaded "common sense" monster. My general take on this (since it does not neccesarily hold up all the time) is "known" is roughly equivalent to being able to decribe the subjuect unambiguously to a third party. This does mean that there needs to be a...

    Big Bag of Holy Water

I was going to say that! :( A few Q's What makes the player think that all the flasks hit the undead anyway? Not even a touch attack roll required? If a vial will do splash damage, would it be 2d4, or say 1 hp damage? Will just dropping a vial from a low height break it automatically? Even...

Rant: Why must thing always be obvious in D&D?

I stopped reading at ~post 45 so this may be covered (and if Li comes this far) since it has gone so far off topic the answer is obviously 42 ;) ). You know, nowhere in this do I see Li saying that the player CAN'T find a temple/shrine/cult member of Shar. It's implied that temples are hard to...

    OotS 476 is up

Any chance that Belker put the equivelent of some sleeping pills in the stew to allow the OoTS to run away? Then we would STILL not see the MitD (which is fine by me, I do not need to see everything revealed ;) ). Edit: Darn, beatten to the stew by Nyaricus

whirlwind attack: one roll or multiple rolls

You mean Manyshot: From my version of the SRD Benefit: As a standard action, you may fire two arrows at a single opponent within 30 feet. Both arrows use the same attack roll (with a -4 penalty) to determine success and deal damage normally (but see Special). For every five points of base attack...

    Greater Invis & Sneak Attack

That's right Nail. What I should have said was: Remember, that without something like True Seeing, or a plan of action (which may not survive contact with the enemy), the other party memebers should not automatically know where the rogue is.

    Bag of Holding

Hhhmm, I wonder of the change in rulings has something to do with the changes between 3.0 and 3.5 (assuming the RotG uses the 3.5 ruleset)? We may never know.

    Spell Strength

    As Arkhandus said.

    Greater Invis & Sneak Attack

I think a big disadvantage is the possible friendly fire instances until the rogue announces their presence on the battlefield. Granted Evasion can remove being hurt by AoE spells, but what about wall spells, battlefield control spells, splash weapons, charges, unintended cover (if you follow...

    Bag of Holding

Also be aware of the weight limitation. while it can be substancial in the larger bags, if you already have items in the bag you could go over this limit. But as Infiniti2000 has stated, the big kicker is the limited opening, which does not change with the bag Type. To place something else...

    Seeking Weapons

I'm inclined to say no because (as you say) the weapon will home in on the target. I'd be inclined to say that there would need to be a statement along the lines of: this ability removes any concealment from the target, allowing precision damage such as a rogue's sneack attack. I do wonder...

    The Ring of Dragonshape

While to create the ring requires a caster level of 7, it does not nessecarily follow that the power of the rings comes AT CL7. Take the Bottle of Air: CL7 but instead of limited to 14 hours, has a continuous air supply.
