Is this fair? -- predict the general opinion

I think most will tend towards 'unfair' as would I-in most situations.

Chronicles of Essenon: Blood on Snow-updated 4/12

Zombie Apocalypse Day 19 (late day 19/early day 20) Before they leave they are presented with a valuable boon-a wand of Cure Moderate Wounds. They decide that Fraup will use it to heal the front-line fighters. Under the cover of darkness the group journeys to the docks atop the wall. Kuhl is...

    High Level Literary Sources

While not strictly fantasy, I'd go with Anne Rice's Queen of the Damned.

    Complete Mage product description

The more I hear about this book the more I like it. I hope to see something for the Tome of Magic classes.

Getting rid of clerics in my homebrew.

I tried to do that and failed-closest I could come is getting rid of the cleric and keeping the druid.

Raymond Feist's Riftwar series, as well as some of the other books set in the same setting.

Chronicles of Essenon: Blood on Snow-updated 4/12

The group will (hopefully) continue-it is almost the end of this adventure. They've figured out the location of the BBEG (finally-I thought they'd never get it) so one way or the other the zombie apocalyse will end soon.

    The Greatest of RPG music

I find the entirety of Carmina Burana good for playing and/or writing adventures. Also nearly anything by Wagner.

    OotS #335 is up.

I think he has Miko in the wrong column.

[DMs] Dealing with player's who have "ineffective" builds...

It depends on why the character(s) are ineffective. I design encounters with an eye towards what my players are capable of. We have several multiclassed characters, one wizard, and one paladin. Since the multi-classed characters fit their respective stories, I don't penalize them in adventure...

Chronicles of Essenon: Blood on Snow-updated 4/12

Day 19 (continued) Dramus rejoins the group as Bokin describes his adventure. The rest of the group is healed up and ready to go check the garrison for zombies. The group debates travelling atop the wall or through the city. They decide to travel by means of the wall and Bokin goes to get the...

    Why not sudden strike?

I'm playing a ninja/duellist and would love to apply Telling Blow to my Sudden Strike ability, but it says skirmish or sneak attack. So, why not sudden strike? Or is sudden strike included under sneak attack as implied in the sidebar in Complete Adventurer?

As a DM I voted Spellthief-too much work.

    MMIV Art Gallery...the hell?

I rather like the Justice Archon and Yuan-Ti. What is with all of the critters that seem to have appeared before though?

I feel out of it. How do you end campaigns?

Unless the game ends with a TPK (hopefully a heroic sacrifice if so) I usually go with allowing the PCs to detail what happened to their characters.

    Monsterous racial conflicts

Heh-that's good. Giants vs. Humans are a near-constant in my game. Undead vs. Living Luckily Beholder vs. Beholder seems more important to them than Beholder vs. Everyone else.

When did you start posting your story hour?

I started mine this year but lost it (and my account) in the crash. I restarted it fairly quickly after that. I was inspired by the great story hours I've read here and regret over not writing up some of my older campaigns.

    The Strong Silent Type

One of my players is playing the SST. He is good at knowing when to make that one statement that blows everyone's mind. That is the secret to making the character effective.
