Which class doesn't fit into YOUR fantasy campaign?

Wizards...I prefer Sorcery to Wizardry. IMC, being a Wizard is rare, because there are only a few Wizard's Academy/Guild/Conclave.

    Anyone use instant kill criticals?

In the twelve months of gaming, I've seen it happen a total of three times.

Allow me to pipe in "Agrablahblahblah's work is great and saved my bacon many times!" as well. ;)

    Do you believe in Luck?

Well, I'm one of those "bad luck" crew members...I did see several times where a DM or player rolled 20's 5 times or 4 times consecutively.

    DragonLance heads up.

If it's anywhere near as good as the Ravenloft d20 by White Wolf, I'll be one happy customer. P.S. I would also like if they publish the stats on the origional Lance heroes and their gradual transformation (aging, gaining experience, becoming the Master of the Past and Present, and what not). :D

My Dragon Killed a PC and lives to tell the tale!

Yeah, the dragon couldn't have seen the arch-villain (barring x-ray vision) because the fighter tried to bull rush him out of the ledge....and got blasted by the dragon.

My Dragon Killed a PC and lives to tell the tale!

Would the dragon associate the laughing sound that came from under the ledge (the point of this discussion is moot if the big blue has x-ray vision from equipment) with an unknown arch-villain plaguing the party? Unless the arch-villain actually makes himself known to the dragon, I don't think...

My Dragon Killed a PC and lives to tell the tale!

2 thoughts... one might be: Leapin' Lizards! Those humans are tough...I only manage to kill one out of eight and they almost gave me the smack down...:( the other alternative is: I knocked down one of the two most dangerous players in that group of humans...Next time with some preparing...

How did you first learn of EN World?

Ditto! I think I started lurking around August (maybe July or September...am not sure) of 1999...When I first came to Eric's site, there was only few pieces of news of the new DnD...but the fever for 3e really caught on and was visiting the site almost everyday.

My Dragon Killed a PC and lives to tell the tale!

Of course, I wholeheartedly agree that a spell would make sense: Breath Energy Substitution...or Change Breath Energy anyone? ;)

My Dragon Killed a PC and lives to tell the tale!

Now that is an idea...why didn't I think of that! A red dragon disguised as a white dragon using a simple low level spell. Imagine the surprise on face of the party as they fireball, flame wall, meteor swarm the "white dragon" and it stands unscathed! Add in a cantrip (or maybe a more...

My Dragon Killed a PC and lives to tell the tale!

I think such a feat, should they exist (and I know it doesn't in the Tome and Blood splat book), should be well thought out before adding it to the campaign. A breath weapon is usually linked to the dragon in a primal and elemental way, just like his immunities. For example, a red or gold...

My Dragon Killed a PC and lives to tell the tale!

As a member of BADD, considering Cloudgatherer's campaign setup, he ran that dragon nicely. When the dragon is more "mature" he will stay at range longer (doing fly-bys and trading spells), but as an adult dragon that only has formidable breath weapon as his sole effective range arsenal, Cloud...

My Dragon Killed a PC and lives to tell the tale!

A suggestion for Cloudgatherer, why don't you team the dragon up with this arch-villain of yours. If the party is enough of a threat (or annoyance), the villain may have scryed on the party as the fight took place. Noticed the blue dragon...sees a possible vehicule of destruction for the PC...
