Disappointed with Under the Eye of the Tempest - too short and expensive

Thanks for the feedback! As Randy Buehler would say, "Thanks, Marketing." ;) It's tough to design balanced encounters for high level parties, especially in an adventure that's designed to be taken through in one shot. It's still a fair criticism, but in my experience it's easier for a DM to...

    L&L: Citycraft vs City Works

Citycraft was the pre-release title, but it didn't pass TM muster and was changed to Cityworks. There is no L&L book called Citycraft.

    D&D 4E "Rock Band" & 4E

Certainly game design trickles down...I can't play Rock Band without taking note of their design choices. Of course, I'm cursing them right now for making Green Grass and High Tides impossible to play on Medium drums! Must...unlock...Enter Sandman...

A group of 15-year-olds want to start a game

There's a large amount of gender reversal with kids these days in general. I doubt they think about it the same way we do.

Complete Disagreement With Mike on Monsters (see post #205)

Interestingly, I disagree with the fundamental assertion of your post: I believe that full interchangability with PCs constrains monsters rather than sets them free. FREE THE MONSTERS, MIKE, FREE THEM FOR GREAT JUSTICE!!!

Complete Disagreement With Mike on Monsters (see post #205)

The way monsters are being handled is, at first glance, one of the bright spots for me in the analysis of what we know about 4e. It says to me that the designers have wisely recognized that all this interchangability between monsters and PCs was a part of what made the 3.x game boring and...

    [E6] Setting Brainstorm

I think FR has been restructured to make the high-magic assumption, though. The most glaring example is the introduction of ubiquitous portals that have been created by people to teleport between two places.
