I agree with you. It's a great book. It had alot more DM goodies in it than I originally thought it would, which is a nice bonus. The templates are really cool!

Steve Jackson Games is even coming out with Official Uplift Miniatures. I haven't seen what they look like yet, but they will include uplifted Dolphins and Chimps!
