Tsk. There's always one hater :p The old Tarrasque looked incredibly goofy. I mean, it was giant and brown and had a silly shell-thing. This one is big, green, spiky, has lots of teeth, and is already in the process of ripping a city apart by walking through it. That's bad-ass!

But the target doesn't run back, they only moves their movement speed +2, and nothing says you gain combat advantage against them afterwards.

That's how I ruled it too, and it does seem a little underpowered...

If it's not too much bother :D Just one gripe I had was that the Fighter seemed to have two enemies marked at once at one point (I think the Dragonshield and Skirmisher). I can't remember exactly, but wasn't it said you can only have one target marked? Or was it that one target can only have...

Well, atleast it's only skills. There's nothing there about requiring feats, and as all skills are likely to be useful at some point in an adventure, I see absolutely no problem. Atleast now you don't have to go to the continent of X and train with the Y, lick a goat, then complete challenge Z...

As gods are level 37 solo monsters (apparently) I don't think this will be the case. Besides, what would be the BBEG at level 40?........

I bet the race thing was related to Dragonborn being tail-less and having breasts. :p

I always wonder what people with this problem would suggest as alternatives when they complain about this. I don't mind all this tactical movement as it certainly has more flavour than 98% of 3.5's monsters whose tactics in a round were 'stand, shoot and get hit'. I'd like to see the mechanics...

Aren't those all things that were also associated with 3rd Ed Hell? It seems rather unfair to blame 4th Ed for changes that were made long beforehand.

I think he was better referring to the Warlock class in WoW, which is well known for harrassing players will lots and lots of fear and ongoing damage spells :(
