Oh, man, don't stop now! These are /great/. Specalist wizards need some more flavour than is out there... Unearthed Arcana went a step, but these are just cool! (Plus, they are totally what my new campaign and it's bizarre magic need to spice things up!)

Has anyone played one of these at any length and had some fun with it? The class seems great to portray a lot of different ideas, and the one I'm leaning towards is magekiller. It almost seems like one of the few classes out there that could be taken straight through, with no prestige class or...

Hmm. So, a quandry. With three feats to take... do I take... Improved Initative, Power Attack and Devoted Inquisitor? Or do I make better use of my +3 Dex bonus, lower my strength score (to many 12, that's more points for Constitution or Charisma) and go Weapon Finesse, Exotic Weapon...

So, I've started to stat out the character. So far, I've decided on going with the first three levels being Rogue, and then switching over to Paladin for the next four levels. That takes him as far as he'll be when he plops into the campaign. As for stats, I went with... Str 14 (+2) Dex 16...

You're totally right, the character will /not/ easily fit the build, but that's for me what makes it interesting. Trying to compensate, make it playable in the end. Which is why I brought the idea here. :)

I'm not necessarily into the idea of a heavy armored paladin. Something more subtle... maybe something of the medium range, made of mithril to lighten it up. As for the weapon, though, that is up in the air. I just see the stealthy rogue/paladin using a big sword.

The game this character will be playing in is at 7th level, so we can feel free to assume he'll be a sixth level character, because Tiefling is an ECL+1 race, of course. Another point to consider; if Shadowbane Inquisitor is going to be a PrC to go into, it requires Power Attack. Aren't...

Hmmm. The weapon is a good point. Having a high Dex naturally makes me want to use something Weapon Finesseable... but something Weapon Finesseable isn't a big sword, unless we're talking elven court swords, or something, which requires an exotic weapon proficency feat... and this character will...
