Wizards of the Coast's Archetype Entertainment to Publish Exodus TTRPG Based on Upcoming Exodus Video Game

Those are amazing and I love them all. I hope more art comes along to give a clear taste of the sci fi genre they are going for. Gorgeous is not much of a genre to play a game in for hours of fun. 😉

The art could make or break this. I hope they share a dump truck load of art for this.

D&D 5E Put Some Sword World In Your D&D 1 - Basic Combat

This does seem to model a whole lot of combat I’ve seen presented in a whole lot of certain types (not all) of anime. Even then the exceptions are still built on exceptions to what is described above. Interesting!

TSR The Shadow Elves of Mystara

I love the idea so much. Another Mystara-ism I am fond of is that the elements are not conventionally opposed, that is Fire and Air have ancient enmity not the standard Water vs Fire. I don’t even try to explain it and hand wave it as some forgotten lost origin that now just is.

TSR The Shadow Elves of Mystara

A core concept of the Known World/Mystara, is that there are no “gods” instead there are Immortals nearly every single one were ascended from previous lives as mortals. The BECMI rules had paths PCs could use to achieve immortal status and as the world was fleshed out it seemed the authors...

TSR The Shadow Elves of Mystara

In the early TSR on the internet days, the Shadow Elves text was released free online and the official Mystara fansite, The Vaults of Pandius, has copies of that old text for free. The Shadow Elves: Player’s Guide The Shadow Elves: Dungeon Masters Book

TSR The Shadow Elves of Mystara

Bruce Heard was the line manager for the Known World and line of these Gazetteers. Right? I wonder if he has any statement about the development of these shadow elves. He’s still around, right?

D&D General [+] What is your favorite non-WotC D&D setting?

A little thread necromancy… I’m a fairly big TSR-WotC setting fan. But of non-WotC settings: Harn for near-medieval content Darwin’s World for Fallout-esque post apocalypse material Latter Earth from Worlds Without Number for extreme future Dying Earth type fantasy Symbaroum for a grittier...

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

To be fair, Elon’s name is in the title of this thread, though it drifted to rejection of evidence for Gygax’s own words. 🙃

I dunno but this thread has seemed to evolve into a clinic in sea lioning and everyone would do well to walk away.

D&D Beyond Adds Illrigger Class from MCDM

In the other thread on the Illrigger being added to DnD Beyond, it was mentioned that the name comes from the Dragon Magazine article from the AD&D-era about Paladins for Every Level, back when the paladin class was locked to LG alignment. Illrigger was the LE proposal, very knight of Hell...

D&D Beyond Adds Illrigger Class from MCDM

There was an old Dragon magazine article under the AD&D era that was something like a paladin for every alignment, back when Paladins were locked as LG aligned. Illrigger was the LE paladin proposed.

D&D Beyond Adds Illrigger Class from MCDM

It does seem so. However MCDM pays artists and writers among the highest in the industry. I’m told noticeably higher than the Seattle company. Plus they have a team of paid playtesters. Which goes into that stick price.
