    Drop Down Menus Bugged

    Is Heavy Metal "Rebellious"?

But I wouldn't say that rebelliousness is a part of the definition of rock. I think rock music and heavy metal has been rebellious and I think some subgenres of metal are rebellious today, but certainly what is rebellious today is different than what was rebellious twenty or thirty years ago...

    [September] What are you reading?

I usually only get to read a few pages before bedtime, so I'm not flying through it. I've read Snow Crash before, so I knew what I was getting into style wise. It's very good, so far (page 150 or so).

Stalker0's Review: The Trailblazer System by Bad Axe Games

Save or Die: Yea or Nay?

Or perhaps they understood it perfectly well, but rejected it as they felt the game should move in a different direction. Whatever one may think of 3e, I don't think one can credibly claim that Monte Cook, Jonathan Tweet, and Skip Williams were not "smart" enough to understand what Gygax was...

There are two broad methods to world creation. Bottom-up Create a small city/region for your players to adventure in. Hint at things outside that, but maintain your focus on the small area your players are in. As they grow in power and begin to want to expand, you can start adding on to what...

Save or Die: Yea or Nay?

Well it seems there's been enough "signposting" or "rumoring" for the characters to know that they just ran into a cockatrice. Perhaps they weren't expecting it, but they know what it is in your scenario and can act accordingly (fight, flee, panic, etc.)
