Save or Die: Yea or Nay?

I have learned two things in this thread. 1) Some people like save-or-die at least in some circumstances. 2) Some people do not like save-or-die. I guess it's a good thing people can play their games the way they prefer, otherwise arguments might break out or something.

Save or Die: Yea or Nay?

I first read that as "If you fall in love, you die (no save)" which seemed like a rather harsh, cruel world you had going there.

[Aug] What Are You Listening To?

I've also been listening to High Violet by The National (indie rock) and Full of Hell from Howl (doom metal). Both are excellent.

    Surprisingly Deep Celebrities

Speaking of Brian May... Freddie Mercury has a degree in Art and Design. Roger Taylor has a degree in biology. And John Deacon has a degree in electronics. Other smart celebs... Mira Sorvino graduated Harvard magna cum laude in PolySci. Natalie Portman has a degree in Psychology from Harvard...

[Aug] What Are You Listening To?

I have been listening to Arcade Fire's new album on NPR. I can't wait to download my own copy. It's great so far, but as with their first two albums, I don't think I really feel it until I've spun it a few times.

D&D 3.x gamers who skipped 4e, why are you not "upgrading" to Pathfinder?

But that is because Trailblazer was not hemmed in by a backward compatibility requirement which Paizo gave themselves for PF. Paizo wanted to tweak not redesign. Now one can, of course, argue how well they accomplished this, but I don't think it's fair to accuse them of a lack of design...

    Are gamers chronic loners

No doubt it means a slight upgrade of the current model ala her rather than going for a brand new model.

    Are gamers chronic loners

I've been divorced for a few years now and I have custody of my two daughters. I've dated a little bit since the divorce, but I'm really busy and haven't had time to really get out there more.

    Google: UI Going Downhill

That's good. Like I said, I do like it. I just think it's nice for people to have style options for stuff like this.

    Some kind of logic.

    Losing the argument.

    Google: UI Going Downhill

I don't mind the new style, but it would be nice if there was an option for the old style for those preferring it.

    The Decade's Best D20/OGL

What about just having sidebars or something along the lines of "Using this with Pathfinder"? That seems like a win/win option to me.

    D&D Novels

I agree for the most part. I was very disappointed with the War of Souls trilogy. Dragons of Summer Flame was okay, but not near as bad. None of the DL books they've done top the Chronicles and Legends trilogies.

    Metal School

Oh, I wasn't being serious. I love me some metal, but it does crack me up from time to time. "This is more hardcore than regular heavy metal. We need to call it something else." "What about death metal?" "Death metal? I love it! Woo! Raise the horns!" "What about this style? It's even more...

Pathfinder 1E My one big gripe about Pathfinder Content

My one big gripe is that Paizo puts out so many products full of win that it hurts my wallet collecting them all. Won't Paizo think about the poor people?
