The OGL -- Just What's Going On?

How are Hasbro & WotC responding to all this negative publicity? I get the feeling this leak was done before they could try to massage anything so is there any damage control, or any responses in general, from WotC or Hasbro?

D&D General Lodoss War Replay book translated

Wasn't the anime a lot more somber and serious compared to the original material?

D&D General Lodoss War Replay book translated

I recall there was another series that took place in the same world as Lodoss and it was more light hearted. Does anyone remember what it was? It's funny, I sometimes look at Lodoss and it makes me wonder if the Japanese ever got to see later TSR settings like Dark Sun and such.

Did they keep steel pieces as the gold piece equivalent? Because that needs to be kept for this period.

Dragonlance WotC Officially Confirms Takhisis and Tiamat Are The Same

The second explanation feels like one where the GM actually cared about how to fit or retcon something in, in a manner that feels respectful of the setting. The first explanation just feels lazy.

Dragonlance WotC Officially Confirms Takhisis and Tiamat Are The Same

Speaking of Eberron, how does their isolated cosmology interact with the rest of the D&D multiverse? I hear somehow they're isolated in the Astral Plane away from the rest of the Material Plane, sort of like an isolated bubble of Prime Material Plane or something?

WotC WotC's Chris Perkins On D&D's Inclusivity Processes Going Forward

Frankly instead of criticizing past stuff all the time, focus on newer stuff being more appropriate in showing more diversity or whatever. I kind of feel like a lot of time is wasted on criticism of past stuff instead of focusing on putting out a higher quality product that isn't just an...

WotC WotC's Chris Perkins On D&D's Inclusivity Processes Going Forward

Wouldn't claiming someone who sleeps around a lot as a good LGBT representation be kind of iffy to those LGBT members who stay in monogamous relationships and such? Kind of unfortunate she couldn't have been just praised as a character (who has as some of her characteristics being bisexual and...

Dragonlance Dragonlance Adventure & Prelude Details Revealed

Yes. But it also really shows how heavy of a screw up Disney did. To tie it to here, it would be like WotC botching Dragonlance so hard for tabletop ultimately that the next Dragonlance stuff is in card stuff. Yeah, you could point to the card stuff and say it's better than how the tabletop...

Dragonlance Dragonlance Adventure & Prelude Details Revealed

Honestly, you could be worse off because the bad movies sort of convinced Disney to drop making Star Wars movies and start having it only on the small screen. Sure, people might try to claim that Star Wars is better on the small screen, but it's just attempted copium about the fact the company...

Dragonlance Dragonlance Adventure & Prelude Details Revealed

Heroscape is back?! Update: the fund failed.

I wonder if this was doomed through poor decision making on Hasbro's part. Reminds me of how Bank of America was warning recently abouf Hasbro killing MtG through overproduction of cards.

Heroscape is back?! Update: the fund failed.

You would think Hasbro would do more to advertise this, and maybe start with a lower price point than $250 right from the gate. I hear this is cheaper than the original Heroscape when it first started out but why push for $2 million as a funding goal?

Dragonlance Dragonlance: Solamnic Knights & Mages of High Sorcery Preview

Probably because people nowadays aren't interested in Harry Potter as much as back then. Essentially even if you're creative, if you bark up the wrong tree, that creativity doesn't attract interest.

Podcast #225: What We Would Change in Dragonlance

So is this podcast normally this bad at doing research, or as classist as it appears here about the backgrounds of adventurers? Like seriously, why put down Tika because she was a barmaid?

Dragonlance Dragonlance: Solamnic Knights & Mages of High Sorcery Preview

Honestly, I don't think WotC nowadays has the creativeness of TSR. It may have been a poorly run company but it seems like it was a hell of a lot more creative.

Tanis in the novels has something called elvensight. Was that some form of infravision?
