Free RPG Day at Green Ronin

Yup, same thing here. Tried a number of times to get the freebies downloaded, but was never able to get a good enough connection to do so. Appreciate the offer Green Ronin, but you need a better delivery system. :\

Fly away and pepper him from afar with Fireballs. His Flame Strike is only medium range and his summonables are stuck at close range.

    Stealing Vecna's Godhood

I ran a similar adventure as an epic Halloween game a few years back. As I recall it revolved around Vecna imprisoning Ao in order to steal his Overgod powers, and ended up with confrontations (not all combat) with Demogorgon, Orcus, Grazz't, Pazuzu, and Jesus of Earth - who incidentally ended...

Three red lights on xbox 360 (I fixed it)

Yeah, I had the same issue - the general hardware failure set of lights. However, I know what the problem is since my dvd drive door no longer works. I don't think the eraser or the towel wrapping fixes will work for me... :(

Liz Schuh on Dragon/Dungeon moving to the web

It is very hard to put a magazine in a plastic bag with an acid-free backing board. Sometimes that flap just won't close right! My Dragon #1 is not faded. I guess the fading speeds up the next 20 years? As I said, technology grows exponentially. Old technology is now outdated and useless...

I don't recall saying anything like that. What I've been saying is that paper, if cared for, is more viable than electronic formats (with similar care) because of changing data, hardware, software, operating systems, etc. Do you really think that in 50 years you'll be able to retrieve data...

Hey, can I import them into my laptop here? I'll just put them into my... um.... my... dvd drive? Do you really expect the average person to have the access, technological saavy, and means to be able to do that Moogle? I don't think WotC is targeting the slashdot crowd for their DI.

Entirely wrong? Interesting. I've never lost a single issue of Dragon, although I've taken them on trips, or to gaming sessions, the print has never faded, nor have I damaged any. On the other hand, I've lost countless power points/spreadsheets/word docs to hard drive failures, power outages...

How's that 5 1/4" floppy disk backup from 1980 doing? Was it formatted for Tandy or DOS or Commodore? Was it a WordPerfect document? ;) Media changes. Hardware and software standards change. Paper doesn't.

Sure, it's great for international customers. How many are there again? :) ebay.com, nobleknight.com, dragontrove.com Boarding and bagging goes a long way to preserving your information. A backup is only a backup if the media works...

I've been a subscriber for almost 20 years - never missed an issue (TSR crash days notwithstanding). YMMV, but once you get the magazine you never lose it.

You lose online content when you stop paying. You lose downloaded content when a HDD crashes. I don't lose magazines when I stop paying each month, nor do I lose my magazine with a hardware failure.

Liz Schuh on Dragon/Dungeon moving to the web

On a side note, I've yet to get a 404 ERROR PAGE NOT FOUND or a HTTP 500 Error in my Dragon or Dungeon magazine. Do I have to mention that hard drives fail also? I can't tell you how much online content I've lost over time due to those failures. So while it can be more convenient, the...

It's not a criticism of those people, it's a criticism of the business logic behind that answer. And there is certainly no statistical correlation between people who use a site for one reason and those same people being interested in paying for products that don't necessarily meet their needs.
