Unfortunately, pretty much every piece of software fails the "easy to use" test and I always end up going back to hand drawing maps.

Perhaps aptly (given the name of the magazine), the only thing out of listing that interests me are the articles from the Gygaxes. I guess maybe the Michael Curtis adventure, though I think he's mostly been doing DCC RPG lately, which I really don't like.

Nice to see Frank Mentzer on board. I'm not at all interested in 3.x these days, so the pathfinder megadungeon has no interest to me, but it would be awesome if Paizo produced a retro clone penned by Frank. Paizo production values and adventures but with retro rules would be amazing.

Yeah, pretty much the entire Paladin concept was taken from that book, from his powers to his role (serving as an agent of Law). While it was based on the Charlemagne stories, the D&D Paladin comes from it, not so much the legends.

A quick google search brings up the case of White Cloud toilet paper, a brand by Proctor & Gamble which was dropped (to try to push sales of their more expensive brand, Charmin), then some other company picked up the trademark and sold it to Walmart, which used it for their line of toilet paper.

Yeah, Lumley's Primal Land stories are Cthulhu-ish fantasy. You have a barbarian guy and a sorcerer named Teh Atht. I'm not sure they really horror though, more just weird fantasy. He's written some really good mythos horror stuff, but these are more swords & sorcery...

People who liked simple rules in their RPGs quit playing D&D a long time ago.

As I said in the thread for their previous attempt, I just don't think these Minis are overly desirable. Better if they kept the 4 Pirates from this, the 3 from the first stretch goal (all but the pygmy, that's just tacky) and the Scourge guy. Those 8 would be pretty desirable.

I don't mind out and out promotion or a post about a press release, but what I hate are the stealth promotion threads that masquerade as discussion threads but are meant simply to pitch a product.
