Almost everything wotc touches now a days turns to dust, so this might actually be Dragonlance Dragonlance and not "wotc dragonlance" which is somewhat heartening and causes some slight optimism.

100% without any doubt at all, 2024 D&D is not for me in any way, shape or form. I will stick with ShadowDark, DCC and 2014 5e when needed, also experimenting with C&C and some other "modern but have the feel and looks I find inspirational" rulesets. Getting off the wotc train as fast as I can.

Getting a definition here... one person's diverse is another's homogenous. Showing art that is not homogenous can be good, if the art is good to the person looking at it. That can be cool or lame. All depends on how well it is crafted like any other work of art, print, aural or otherwise...

Seriously... the new art is often super lame and doesn't inspire me at all. It might be diverse or maybe it's not, but it's still often lame as heck. Are you telling me you can't have diverse art and making it cool too? Absurd... and what do you mean by diverse... does that mean everything, only...

The only point is that I was being accused of "old views" and all kinds of weird stuff. gatekeeping... I can't even keep up... my very simple point is our games were always diverse and welcoming and that made them more fun and better.

haha... sexism is not an essential element of the D&D. Never was for me... heck we had "girls" in our game since day 1. My intro to d&d was in late 70s from my older girl cousin. I never say it as a boy only thing as a kid. Now was it like 85% boys... yeah... but I never didn't have "girls" in...

And maybe the new ways aren't either... so yeah there you go. Old/New whatever... I don't need to split it up like that. Some new things are great, some aren't and vice versa... that's the hate thing. Us v them... I'd rather just be us.
