    History repeats itself

I'd buy the argument if it weren't for World of Warcraft and its 10 million subscribers. No, really, World of Warcraft really did change everything. For decades now we've talked, joked, mocked, derided, etc. the idea that someday the folks working in the far more popular and profitable console...

    Houserule: Non Adventuring Skills

Easily solved. Dole out skill points twice; first set for adventuring skills, second for other skills.

Players can still have their PCs craft items. Trade for items will remain legal. That removes the control over gearing up from the DM's hands and puts it into the players' hands. It also makes gear expendable and replaceable for everything short of an artifact. Welcome to August 2000.

The ability to act in a manner that provides an advantage that your foe doesn't have, to take away your foe's advantage, or to change the fight entirely is nothing short of fundamental to a successful adventurer's operation. Items do this, and that means that they can be--and will be--collected...

    Halflings: An Identity Crisis

This is the only publically-available WOW census data. Fortunately, it's current. Humans and Night Elves are tied at 17% of the total population, Blood Elves are next at 14% and Undead at 11%. The other expansion race, Draenei, are at 8%. (44% of which are Shaman; as that is the only...

/facepalm This? It will fail, and it won't be pretty. No one in their right mind fails to gear up as best they can, so I fully expect properly-geared PCs to ROFL-stomp such encounters. It's this sort of thinking that makes me wonder what's going on at WOTC HQ, and if they really are paying...

    Abstract HP

As with the fluff text that fails to define Hit Points as abstract, this purported defense of it also fails. If it can't stand up to scrutiny, then it fails and those responsible for it should be dragged out and publically punished for their failure.

    D&D 4E 4E: DM-proofing the game

The new edition is reducing the DM to being nothing more than a rules arbiter with a sideline of travelogue narrator, and that's if travel has any meaningful presence in the game.

That's what's bound to occur when a failed attempt at getting a Warhammer license turns into the spark that became one of the biggest gaming franchises in the history of the world.

Resto druids are vital, and only in 2v2 or 3v3. They're optional, though welcome, in 5v5; other specs need not apply- and that means both Balance and Feral.

Touch Attacks. Remember those? That's the check you make to actually make contact with a target. It's always equal to what a character not wearing armor or benefiting from Force effects (e.g. mage armor) has for an AC score. Slap armor, natural armor or a shield on the target and now you...

Players control time. All that needs be said is "I'm (We're) going over here, to this secured space, and taking the time needed to make this stuff.", where "here" is someplace proofed against hostile NPCs and plausible deleterious events, and the GM gets to sit there trying to figure out what...

This will work if, and only if, players can't acquire items through crafting or trade. If they can get their gear independent of what the GM provides, then it's out of his hands and he will have to deal with properly-geared PCs.

    Halflings: An Identity Crisis

Halflings are hobbits. WOTC needs to quit trying to make them into something that they're not. Embrace Tolkien's best creation and be done with it.

Specific implementations of many of the appropriations are WOW-derived, and this makes them WOW-appropriations, so the accusations cannot be denied credibly.
