v2.27 is the most current release. Forge did release a beta version of v2.28 that has some material from XGtE, but that version had bugs introduced into it that wasn't in v2.27.

v2.28 was a beta. As you can see from the above quote that only a few things were added to v2.28 and during its short life there were bugs that were being discovered and fixed (a few new bugs caused issues that were not present in v2.28).

First, NP. Second, yes you just need to use the custom override features. Just understand that any of the bugs that have been discovered since v2.27's release have to not been fixed. So, you might have some issue.

The v2.28 beta is (for a lack of a better term) broken. During the update process (adding material from XGtE) some of the normal operations have bugs. I would recommend using v2.27 for now. If you don't have it send me a PM and I will get it to you.

Yeah, I don't see that happening. The CS is still Forge's proprietary work.

I am not going to step on Forge's toes. He has mentioned to me that he would like to finish updating the CS with the material from XGtE and get it out to everyone. But, not sure how he can distribute it to the masses.
