The New D&D Adventure Is - Tomb of Annihilation!

I don't have OotA so I can't speak to specifics, but at birds eye view, an AP against Demogorgon was done already with Savage Tide, and certainly there have been a couple of big underdark based campaigns, notably the original drow series in 1e as well as Night Below in the 2e era.

The New D&D Adventure Is - Tomb of Annihilation!

The Ring of Winter novel was Artus' main appearance to date and it was set in Chult. I wouldn't write off this being where they make an appearance, although (although I wouldn't mind the ring being the focus of an AP on its own, myself).

D&D 5E Why FR Is "Hated"

I do agree that this is super annoying. I would think by now they would have realized that explaining the rules changes with a Realms Shaking Event is wholly unnecessary and does way more harm than good in the eyes of the fanbase. Some of the talk about the Second Sundering being the last big...

D&D 5E Why FR Is "Hated"

I've been lurking on this thread but haven't bothered commenting yet since it got so big so fast, and because it is such a hotly contested topic, but it seems like the Realms needed a little love so I will finally throw in my two coppers. I've been a FR fan since the early days, on and off. I...

Yes, you can get it a PDF (or print on demand) on DM's Guild.

D&D 5E DM's Guild print books / Scourge of the Sword Coast / Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle

pukunui, is there any more to the scoop about Daggerford originally been slated for the DMG, or is the little blurb below Mike Schley's map on his site the extent of how we know anything? It's a great little map, and it would be interesting to know what, if any, details, exists on many of the...

D&D 5E DM's Guild print books / Scourge of the Sword Coast / Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle

Awesome, thanks for the info and the pics, this looks great, I will order it up. Yep, I have both of those sources already, thanks. I am partially looking for it just because I have a soft spot for Daggerford, but I am actually running a Lost Mine of Phandelver > Storm King's Thunder...

D&D 5E DM's Guild print books / Scourge of the Sword Coast / Ghosts of Dragonspear Castle

A few somewhat related questions... I am considering picking up Scourge of the Sword Coast in order to get an updated version of Daggerford and environs (I have long owned and enjoyed the AD&D module N5 Under Illefarn). I see that DM's Guild sells it in multiple formats: PDF, and softcover...

James Bond And The Espionage Role-Playing Game

Take a look at some of those games, or The A-Team, for your answer. I'm not well versed in most of these, but I recall that Spycraft had classes that were basically Faceman (charisma based smooth guy), Fixer, Soldier (weapons guy), Wheelman (driver) etc.

Notification I can't get rid of

The website seems to handle notifications fine for me but the mobile app just does whatever it wants. It doesn't usually show the app badge icon on my phone's home screen unless I really have something, but within the app it pretty much always does. It shows I have PMs that I can't see (and...

The Toughest Part of Dungeon Mastering........well to me at least.

Note that Gary's name in the title is his seal of approval, but he's NOT actually the author, so you can rest assured it's chock full of legit options, not just rearranged variations of "Gary", "Ernest", etc.. ;)

    D&D 5E Enhancing "Storm King's Thunder"

Enhancing "Storm King's Thunder" What have people's experiences been with the special NPCs? Both in chapter 2 (Bryn Shander/Goldenfiels/Triboar) and elsewhere. On the former, I love the idea of having the PCs interact heavily with these folks so as to build a better attachment to...

The Toughest Part of Dungeon Mastering........well to me at least.

I agree that a satisfying backstory/meet-up is the hardest thing. What exasperates me is the amount of trouble that I have getting the players to give me even basic details about their character in time for me to plan anything that may unite them. I just started a new campaign on Friday, and...

    D&D 5E Enhancing "Storm King's Thunder"

Yep, Helm's Hold. One of my PCs is a paladin of the Order of the Gauntlet and I was planning on having training at the hold be what brought him up to Neverwinter from his home in Waterdeep. Thanks for the reminder about that NPC, I can probably work out a direct connection between them...

    Weekend vs. Weekday

It all depends on everyone's age and place in life. Weekends worked better when we were kids and young adults (and didn't have families), weekdays work better now that we are older and have family commitments. Fridays work particularly well, as we're not eating into a weekend day and competing...

    D&D 5E Enhancing "Storm King's Thunder"

Enhancing "Storm King's Thunder" I love this, and I'm kicking off my Lost Mine of Phandelver > Storm King's Thunder campaign on Friday, so I may have to steal this. I just have to tweak it a little as my campaign is set before the great FR time jump, the discovery of Gauntlgrym, and...

    D&D 5E Enhancing "Storm King's Thunder"

I looked back through the thread searching for Maegara but couldn't find where you talked about this before. How did the players avoid falling victim to Maegara themselves? I was thinking that releasing her sounded like an exciting scene but was having trouble picturing it not ending in a TPK.
