What classes are usually roleplayed BETTER ?

Still some classes lend themselves to great roleplaying much easier than others that seem more stale.... or not ?

How To Play A Paladin Correctly.

Samurai Jack is indeed a good example... thou of course he follows another code... the Bushido Code. :)

How To Play A Paladin Correctly.

Someone mentioned Knightly Orders... Templars were historically speaking very prone to heroic and foolish charges. They lacked military discipline and certainly seem similar to gung ho paladins we see all the time. :) Hospitalars apparently were more balanced knights. (As for banking the...

How To Play A Paladin Correctly.

I wouldn't say combat is a last resort... since we are playing D&D... but combat when needed is a necessary evil. My paladins loathes the results which is the bloodshed even when he knows it was correct to do so. He hasn't killed a human being yet too... thou he pities humanoids "monsters"...

High Strength Attacks vs High Dex Defenses...

One thing I thought might be possible is adjusting very strong monsters attacks by the amount of armor worn... so the less armor you wear the less likely his strength is being thrown against your shield/armor. So a leather armor using character in fact has only 2 AC "going against" the...

How To Play A Paladin Correctly.

Like most complex topics its easier to point out what you "shouldn't" do rather than what you should do. Firstly avoid being blood thirsty... most Paladins seemed like Frenzied Crusaders. You should be a living example to others and not a zealot barbarian. Most paladins forget that they will...

High Strength Attacks vs High Dex Defenses...

Still not convinced of the strong = fast thing... especially bigger creatures where swinging or moving big limbs and weapons in fact is slower due to the sheer size of them. (Takes longer to swing that huge axe... due to size alone.)

What class do you roleplay the best?

Being heroic doesnt come naturally to me... so "naturally" I tend to play Rogues better... especially the lack of morals... :)

What classes are usually roleplayed BETTER ?

After some interesting comments and percentages in another poll on the Worst Roleplayed classes... how about the Better Roleplayed classes ? Are there classes you feel are consistently played better than others ? Why are they roleplayed better ? Is it due to how easy it is to get into the...

What Classes are roleplayed the WORSE ?

Since Rangers and Rogues are listed as the lowest "worst" played... does it mean they are better played in general ? I think I will start a new poll on that one... got my curiosity going. Check it out at: http://www.enworld.org/forums/showthread.php?t=66956

    D&D 3E/3.5 Prone Rules [3.5]

Took this from a friends email response: "Withdraw - Withdrawing from melee combat is a full-round action. When you withdraw, you can move up to doble your speed. The square you start out in is not considered threatened by any opponent you can see, ..." So if your prone and somehow you...

    Spiked Chain art ?

Since 3.0 launched I have seen at best two drawing/pictures of PCs with Spiked Chain... anyone knows where I can see a piece or two of good spiked chain wielding characters pictures ?

What Classes are roleplayed the WORSE ?

Lately I have been roleplaying very well an innocent paladin... and it struck me how badly most Paladins are played: Righteous Buffons or Wacko Crusaders. Sometimes I see a lot of Rogues played like sociable criminals too. Of course religion is hard to bring to life in a social game... as...

High Strength Attacks vs High Dex Defenses...

Something that has been bugging me about the AC system are examples like Huge animals or Giants. Basically their very high attacks are powered by very high strength values. Meaning they can get through armor through sheer power.... now what happens when their "target" is a 22+ Dex Elf monk with...

[kinda OT] President Bush's spirit trapped in a pot

In D&D if your made into an undead after being dead you can't be resurected... so the idea of undeath involves up to a point the subjects soul. (Or he might be brought back into another body for example... )

    D&D 3E/3.5 Prone Rules [3.5]

Would you allow for a 5ft disengage and then stand up when prone ? Or does prone = crawl necessarily ? Its a full round just getting up again... pretty good result for a trip. What about the +4 bonus when attacking someone tripped... is it the same when attacking someone trying to...

Am I a snooty gamer? [Book of Exalted Deeds]

I like flowery writing in the beggining and cruchy good mechanics in the middle ... with a bit of flowery and spice giving texts placed in key locations throughout.

[kinda OT] President Bush's spirit trapped in a pot

What happens to Bush while his spirit is inside the river ? That wasn't implied in the article... if I remember correctly the Mindjar spell you take over the body... but this seems different. In game how would you recognize that for example the King's soul is not inside him ?
