Personally I think they are horrible. I´ve never taken them, and I probably never will, unless for a PrC. I think they are only worth it in extreme cases, like the example above of the 8 int Cleric with Combat Casting, or anything like it. Except for that I think they are completly worthless...

hhmm... burned out DM... I have seen this before. Get another group where you can be a player only. I have "saved" two burned out DMs from quitting totally by getting them into our campaigns. Both were great players.

Well 3.5 allows you to track at normal speed at -5 to your check... and surprise... just checked this: Double your normal speed tracking at -20 ! :) Well in real life you can speed up tracking by having fellow trackers move ahead and try to find tracks further ahead. 2 trackers should...

How long does it take to set up the two arrows ? How different is it from just firing one arrow ? Any drawbacks beside time ?

Well, I must have taken away those horrid images of Many Shot in films due to the mental/intelectual trauma inflicted by seeing them. :) Back to topic thou... Many Shot still seems like an abberation to me.... fantasy or not. Anyone think its balanced ?

Its no fantasy to me... I'd rather see them firing faster than jiggling two nocked arrows at the same time. More than 2 is too far even for the imaginative....

Even thou I mostly like 3.5... I sometimes have the slight impression they wanted to give it a "kewl" finish. Not happy to be fussing around with important stuff spell power balance and fiddling with combat maneuvers... they suddenly would do a step backwards for some "kewl" image. My pet...
