    Hardest to Visualize Power

    Many of these powers are only to be "visualized" with magic. Since I remember very fondly the Eartdawn RPG it doesn't bother me as much. But I am avoiding reading roleplaying material from the 4e... because it certainly will be wierd attempts at explaining powers without magic.

    Take out one, or damage many...

    I just played a Wizard... so Wizards should just fire away at minions since area spells are good for that. Otherwise its wiser to concentrate on 1 bad guy and take him out. For the simple reason that it means one less attack on the group.

    Icy seems the best midway spell. Its "control" because it hampers movement and might make some foes prone. Its damage is sub-par and similar to schorching burst. Yet Force Orb requires foes to be adjacent... so at the very best you get 2 or 3 targets.

    Question about Flaming Sphere: It says any creature that "starts its turn next to the sphere takes 1d4+INT" (no save.. wow) Does that include the creature that I attacked and took the initial 2d6+INT ? Which means the original target always gets hit for both damages ? If I use a Move to move...

    Nothing stops you from using shifting back 1 square away from melee monsters and just using Scorching Burst instead of Thunderwave. (Burst 1 = 3x3) Which 3 at-will would you suggest ? Is MM that useless ? PS: I've never played 4th edition. Only read the book these few days...
