Is a suppressed item considered non-magical for spell targeting?

The words "becomes nonmagical" mean that the item is a valid target for spells or effects that affect nonmagical items, to me. However, what the DM says, goes.

    Skill Tricks; good or bad?

I liked the effects of some skill tricks, but disliked the implementation. So, I just converted them to normal skill uses, and so far so good.

    Cleric variant

I'd also allow that variant -I might even allow 2 domains-.

    Spring attack with spells?

    It's the Mobile Spellcasting feat.

    Superheroes questions - random thoughts

Well, if you were all covered in yellow, a GL ring couldn't -normally- affect you directly; but that's why GLs use imagination a lot. However, I agree 100% with Glyfair when talking about comic book logic (which is why my GF has a really hard time playing M&M).

    Superheroes questions - random thoughts

Just to add something: the thing trapped inside the power battery is basically fear manifested, and GL must face and defeat their fears in order to affect yellow things. So, only the most experienced GLs can do that. Incidentally, that's why Hal Jordan had gray hair.

How much do you prepare your adventures, and how good is your "improvisation?"

Actually, I don't prepare sessions or adventures anymore. Instead, I just prepare encounters relative to the relevant plots and subplots and that's it. Each encounter is designed with all the relevant info (from statblocks, spell lists, general tactics, background, resolution, misc information...

    Changing a D&D core mechanic

Throw something at him and tell him that he isn't supposed to try to avoid the hit. :D Now, seriously, that change would have 2 effects: 1) Limit Sneak Attack to melee only, since Dex shouldn't be added to AC, you can't get your Dex bonus denied. 2) Light armored PCs/NPCs would get hit way...

    Mutants and Masterminds essentials?

Add another vote to the "only need the core book" camp. However, Ultimate Power presents powers in a different way and -at least, in my case- helped me greatly to understand how to build powers for characters/NPCs.

"Spend a rage in order to..."

Well, there's Rage feats, a 3rd party product that deals with that precisely. Now, if someone would create some feats to use with Smite evil for the paladin...

    Less death, more "dying"

I use the "Death and Dying" variant rule from Unearthed Arcana. You can find it HERE

1st to 20th with same character

In my last campaign, 2 of the PCs went from 1 to 17 each before it ended. Too bad it ended in a bad way (one had to move out of the city, and the rest of the group just dissappeared eventually). Hopefully, my new campaign can last even longer.

How many different groups are you gaming with?

I'm gaming with just one group, that plays different things. Right now, I'm running M&M and D&D, and playing Demon: The Fallen. The rest are also playing Exalted.

[Devil’s Workshop] Prestige Class Creation Cookbook released

That would be pretty darn cool, actually. Hopefully we'll get the Spell Creation Cookbook at least.

[Adamant Entertainment] ONE MILLION MAGIC ITEMS!

Just wondering if we can expect an updated/expanded version or just leave it as it is (and it's still quite useful)

It's a nice product as it is, but that would be indeed awesome.

rules for ship-to-ship combat and PC's as crew

In Aerial Adventure Guide, there's a designated captain that chooses the ship's action, and half the minimum crew size of a ship must tend to it just to keep it moving, while the rest may do something else (fight, operate ship's weapons, heal someone, sing a song...). When the captain chooses to...

rules for ship-to-ship combat and PC's as crew

Yup, I got it from RPGNow a while ago. The chapter on ship combat is actually pretty short but simple and definitely does not get bogged down on little details (as opposed to the Vehicle rules that appeared in Dragon Magazine #294). It does mention what the crew members might be able todo while...

    Involving Players in Game Creation

That's exactly the same thing I did with my new gaming group, and so far has given me great results. The first adventure was completely vanilla and designed for the iconic party (since I didn't know what the players would play) and after that I just kept taking notes about what each one of them...
